2012 Stimulus Check

There are currently no plans to issue a stimulus check in 2012, however this could change as we get further into the year. Since this is an election year there is always the chance that a stimulus check could be used to help sway voters in one direction or another. Many political analysts think that the first stimulus checks sent in 2008 was done more to improve Bush's approval rating than actually helping the American people.

Given the current state of the economy many Americans could use every dime they can get so a stimulus check could not be better timed. President Obama has not included stimulus checks in any part of his campaign or term as president, but this doesn't mean it won't happen.

The best way to determine if a stimulus check will be issued in 2012 is to check the IRS website periodically. If a check is issued this is the first place information will be posted and also a critical resource to make sure you qualify. There are often very strict rules to qualify for a stimulus check and knowing what those rules are can help you make sure that if a check is issued, there will be one waiting for you.

We can all cross our fingers for a 2012 stimulus check but if it doesn't happen this year, there's always next year!
