Biblical Answers to 2012

In doing the research for this film, I wanted to find out how big this 2012 mania had become. By typing in 2012 in the google search engine, I found that 2012 had 262 million results!
Keywords included doomsday, end of the world, December 20, 2012, Mayan calendar, polar shift, rapture, planet alignment, apocalypse, Armageddon, prophecy, Nostradamus, planet X, Niburu, surviving, survival groups, spiritual awakening, movie, disaster, prediction, theory, etc. etc.

With some many theories and ideas, how do we sort them and bring clarity to the situation?
Why are people so obsessed with doomsday and end of the world predictions?

2012 Doomsday

type=text2012 doomsday

We are at a time in our history that man is desperately seeking for answers to world issues. With the 2012 doomsday brings is panic, desperation, and turmoil. Our country already is at a breaking point but 2012 will add more fuel to the fire and cause panic and mayhem just like Y2K did back in 1999. Is it really doomsday 2012 or just another propaganda hoax that is people are making money from? We have heard things like this time and time again. Setting dates for the end of the world is nothing new. There have been over 200 predictions of the the end of the world and all have been wrong. So will 2012, just be another one to add to the list?

Y2K

Do you remember when people were predicting that when the earth odometer rolled over from December 31, 1999 to Jan 1, 00. That we would experience all kinds of malfunctions from computers, government shutdowns, chaos, and the end of the world?
People were in such panic that they stocking up with food, supplies, survival kits, and whatever they thought they needed to keep them sustained for months. The stores shelves were emptied, people were storing water and food in bomb shelters. The panic and mayhem was rampant and man was cashing in on the mania. will 2012 be just another Y2K!

Whatever the world was expecting, it was supposed to major but it didn't happen and we rolled over from December 31, 1999 to Jan 1, 2000 without a glitch. Is this truth or more hype that the new Age is preparing the world for? Almost nine years ago, the Christians were warning us about the end of the world called Y2K. Even before this man has been concerned about what was going to happen at the turn of the century. Churches were packed with frightened individuals wanting for Judgment day.

Over 200 predictions have been given with dates and even times concerning the end of the world. Well all of them have been wrong. Will December 20, 2012 be a date this added to this as well? Only time will time.

Christians were predicting that the rapture was going to take place before the beginning of the new year and it didn't happen. Why do we try to put dates on God's timetable? Were people wrong to warn about the danger? I believe the watchmen were doing their job and had to warn the people. There was no prophecy giving that Y2K was coming but we were prepared just in case. Well 9 years have passed since then and now what people are calling the real y2K is the new thing.

The Real Y2K

Many are now calling 2012 the Real Y2K. or some have even name it the Y2K for the New Age.
It seems that those who are true 2012 believers uphold that y2k was just a rehearsal for the real showdown. The world was not ready but now they believe that man is prepared to take leap in their evolution and transformation for the coming winter solstice.

The ideas is that the first time in more than 5,000 yrs., the galaxy alignment of the sun and and the earth with the center of the Milky Way galaxy. Also, that the crossing of the equator could cause a pole shift or cause them to be reverse.

Still for others December 20, 2012 spells doomsday with volcanic eruption caused by solar flares or storms, massive earthquakes, tsunamis, cracks in the earth's magnetic field, and a nuclear winter.
Like the new release motion picture 2012 depicts.

But for some the 2012 opportunity to a new beginning, a new stage in human growth and a paradigm shift. That we must put a stop to global warming and restore mother earth. Gaia worship and so forth.

We are starting to see that man is using technology to save the environment by beaming holographic images to their destination instead of being there in person. This could lead to the shutdown of air transportation if many key figures in America began using this technology toward a green and better world. What used to be science fiction in TV show and movies like Star Trek is becoming more science fact than science fiction. Soon everyone will be saying "Beam me Up Scotty"!

Still there others, that are trying to warn the people to have great discernment for the changes that will take place in the next two years. We will begin to see paranormal obsession increase, pestilence, great financial despair, and more and more indoctrination from Hollywood about the Alien Gospel, and the gospel of the green movement. Whatever it is people are expecting some major changes to come and soon.

With so many theories and beliefs how do we make sense out of all this madness?

2012 propaganda

The 2012 subculture has spread it's message and has become widespread especially on the internet and blogs. People are capitalizing on the media with 2012 merchandise. There is the 2012 kits, shelters, t-shirts, movies, documentaries, tv shows, you tube videos over 200,000 and counting. Networks, tv channels, cable channels, and major internet outlets feature programs and articles on the 2012 phenomenon.

For the ancient Maya, it was a huge celebration to make it to the end of a whole cycle" says Sandra Noble, executive director of the Foundation for the Advancement of Mesoamerican Studies in Crystal River, Fla. To render Dec. 21, 2012, as a doomsday or moment of cosmic shifting, she says, is "a complete fabrication and a chance for a lot of people to cash in."

Astronomers generally agree that "it would be impossible the Maya themselves would have known that" says Susan Milbrath, a Maya archaeoastronomer and a curator at the Florida Museum of Natural History. What's more, she says, "we have no record or knowledge that they would think the world would come to an end at that point."

2012 and Hollywood

type=textHollywood and 2012?

Hollywood is also cashing on 2012 mania.
With the release of 2012, by director Roland Emmerich, who has brought blockbusters such as Independence Day, Godzilla, the Day after Tomorrow, 10,000 B.C. and now 2012. Roland Emmerich's latest blockbuster is sure to be a hit with a production budget of 200 million dollars. I saw the movie and to me, it seemed far-fetched with all the special effects and all but I believe the message it brings will start to generate great attention to the 2012 agenda. Well, according to box office mojo.com; the movie has already grossed over 62 million on opening week and more than 572 million world-wide. People are talking about 2012. 2012 was released by Sony Pictures and is an apocalyptic tale of death and destruction. In the film 2012 from German director Roland Emmerich ,who has brought us such films as Independence Day and the Day after Tomorrow, we witness the world being destroyed by tsunamis, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions.

Yet, behind all the computer graphics, the film 2012 is rooted in a very real-world phenomenon: the mounting hysteria surrounding the year 2012-specifically, the date December 21, 2012. Growing numbers of prognosticators are predicting Earth's cataclysmic destruction on that date-while, at the other end of the spectrum, some are expecting the dawn of a golden "New Age" for Earth and its inhabitants.
Amazingly enough, millions of people seem to be taking these predictions seriously. People and groups from nations all over the world are stockpiling food and supplies-even cashing in their life savings in order to buy land on remote mountaintops-all in "preparation" for the earth-shattering events they believe will occur in December 2012.
What is behind this "2012 frenzy"? Why do so many believe that December 21, 2012 will be the end of the world? And how should Christians react to these predictions? Is there any way to truly know what lies ahead?

The movie blatantly shows that Christianity is lost and can't save anyone. President's speech is cut off as he quotes Psalms 23. The Statue of Jesus is destroyed in Rio De Janiero, The Baslica in Rome is destroyed. In the blogosphere many critics are voicing their opinions about the bias rap on the Christianity and why Islam is not touched.

Roland Emmerich , a German filmmaker once said in an interview "I would like to erase all nations and religions." Especially organized religion. Not true. He is quite content to live with Islam, even though he readily admits it is a religion of terror. When asked why he did not show the destruction of Kaaba, the religious structure in the Grand Mosque in Mecca, he said, "I wanted to do that, I have to admit. You can actually let Christian symbols fall apart, but if you would do this with [an] Arab symbol, you would have%u2026a fatwa."

So why was the Sistine Chapel designated for destruction? "We have to show how this gets destroyed%u2026.I am against organized religion." %u2026
After bragging that the movie shows the Sistine Chapel falling on people's heads, Emmerich explains the moral of the story: "Never pray in front of a big church. Pray by yourself." %u2026
Every time I say Hollywood hates Christianity, especially Catholicism, my critics cringe. But they never offer evidence that I'm wrong
In a interview with Hot Wired:
In previous movies, he's destroyed the Empire State Building and the White House (Independence Day), sent a giant monster into the middle of Manhattan (Godzilla), blown away the famous Hollywood sign and the Capitol Records building in Los Angeles (The Day After Tomorrow) and savaged New York again by flooding and then freezing it (also The Day After Tomorrow).
In 2012, he takes on landmarks in Rome, Rio de Janeiro and, yes, Washington, but there is one place even he couldn't bring himself to obliterate. We caught up with Emmerich in Jackson Hole, Wyo., where he told us why he chose various landmarks to lay waste in 2012, and about the one that got away.
"I always like I think when it feels very new and original," Emmerich said, adding: "Landmarks are always symbols, just symbols. %u2026 They stand for something."
101 Tower in Taipei, the world's tallest building (pictured below).
But Emmerich was thinking of something even more explosive: the Kaaba, the cube-shaped building at the heart of Mecca, the focus of prayers and the Islamic pilgrimage called the Hajj; it is one of Islam's holiest sites.
Really?
"Well, I wanted to do that, I have to admit," Emmerich says. "But my co-writer Harald said I will not have a fatwa on my head because of a movie. And he was right. %u2026 We have to all %u2026 in the Western world %u2026 think about this. You can actually %u2026 let %u2026 Christian symbols fall apart, but if you would do this with [an] Arab symbol, you would have %u2026 a fatwa, and that sounds a little bit like what the state of this world is. So it's just something which I kind of didn't [think] was [an] important element, anyway, in the film, so I kind of left it out."

It's Ok to mock Christianity because Christians will do nothing but if he mocks Islam then we have a war on our hands. That tells us about the condition of Christian America in our country

In an recent Newsweek article that came out in April 4 of 2009 , the front cover shows the Decline of Christian America in a form a of Cross. The articles

The Film 2012 also depicts the elite or those who shows them getting on ships not spaceships but water vessels. That when the Tsunamis begin flooding the earth that there are few that are saved.

According to the Word of God, the earth will not be destroyed by a flood by but be refined by fire.

GEN 9:11 And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.

2PE 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

We need to ready and waiting for the return of our Lord. He is not coming as we think He is but when the world no longer is expecting Him. No secretly but where all we see Him.

2PE 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

Y2K, 2012, What next?.....

type=textTurn on the television and you'll be bombarded with advertisements for the new motion picture, "2012". Flip over to the History Channel or Discovery Channel and you're bound to find some programs about 2012. America is obsessed with the December 21, 2012 or, according to various ancient prophecies, the end of the world.

As we approached the year 2012, we are seeing an increase of paranormal and supernatural obsessions. But now more than ever before it has become hype and cool to befriend vampires, werewolves, zombies, fallen angels, UFOS, the alien agenda, and demons. The world is preparing for a doomsday scenario. The world is at a breaking point as the economy spirals downward, the increase of pestilence is on the rise, the threat of a World War is closing in and the anticipation of the arrival of 2012 to herald the age of enlightenment.

Is this truth or more hype that the new Age is preparing the world for? Almost nine years ago, the Christians were warning us about the end of the world called Y2K. Just like the song of Prince "1999", the world was waiting for the end. People were busy storing food and supplies. They had been told that the end was near. So, here we are some nine laters and still the world has not ended. I remember the most popular prophecy teachers were telling the people that this was it, the rapture was going to take place before disaster would strike.

Even before this man has been concerned about what was going to happen at the turn of the century. Churches were packed with frightened individuals wanting for Judgment day.

Hollywood is especially is cashing in on the 2012 hype wagon. In the film 2012 from director Roland Emmerich who has brought us such films as Independence Day and the Day after Tomorrow, we witness the word being destroyed by tsunamis, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions.

So what is the real purpose of this 2012 deception?
That of course is the million dollar question. I do not think anyone knows where all this will lead in the short term. In the long term all this deception will help lead the world to the Antichrist. However, I we still have many prophecies in the bible to be fulfilled so to it is unlikely that 2012 we be the end. This deception is not the great deception or strong delusion spoken of in the Bible. This deception has another purpose and the best I can do is speculate on what that is. I believe it really is just setting the world stage for a much greater deception.

All around the globe people are discussing, books are being written, lectures are being given about the Mayan calendar ending on the winter solstice of the year 2012 which means to some people around the world that the world will end on December 21st 2012.
According to recent news reports the Mayan civilization was extremely advanced in mathematics, engineering and astronomy. It was also reported that they had incredible knowledge and understanding of time and space.
But can the Mayan Calendar and Mayan prophecies be trusted?

Can the Mayan calendar trusted?

The Mayans believed that everything occurred in cycles. Their calendar spanned five cycles,
each lasting approximately 5,200 years. At the end of each cycle, the Maya believed the current, flawed creation had to be destroyed for the world to be born again. Some believe the end of the current cycle on December 21, 2012, is an apocalyptic sign.

Is this truth or more hype that the new Age is preparing the world for? Almost nine years ago, the Christians were warning us about the end of the world called Y2K. Even before this man has been concerned about what was going to happen at the turn of the century. Churches were packed with frightened individuals wanting for Judgment day.

But can it be trusted as accurate truth?

Just becasue a calendar ends on December 21, 2012 does not make a strong basis of being the end of the world.

2012 hype

type=textBefore we go running into the dark screaming the world is ending, the church age is ending, the rapture is going to take place on December 21st, 2012. Lets stop and remember what the secular experts said about Y2K. The Y2K date came and past with nothing happening around the world. I believe the same thing will happen on December 21st, 2012. It will come and go as another day in history and nothing spectacular will happen. This will in fact cause many people to ridicule make fun and mock those who believe in this crackpot theory. I am very concerned when not only the secular world but those in the church who know better are out promoting the 2012 lie.
