No longer merely a suburb of Northwest Washington, D.C., Bethesda Maryland is today a destination in its own right. The dining center of Metro DC, Bethesda features nearly 200 eateries within just 5 blocks of the Metro.
A thriving high-tech economy and a wide swath of government and defense contracts, Bethesda has many employment opportunities for its residents, especially for a city of its size.
Bethesda is the perfect area for couples with an empty nest looking to downsize, as evidenced by the plethora of new high-end condominiums in Bethesda.

Real estate in Bethesda is more diverse than many people perceive. Older Colonials and Capes populate many of the tree-lined streets of Bethesda, and certainly that's the image most people have of the area.
