Hi, I'm Josette Skilling!

I'm a real estate professional in Bethesda, MD specializing in helping buyers move into their first, next or last home, helping sellers get to their next goals, helping condo buyers understand the differences in properties, helping investors find great deals on properties, finding vacation homes, and working with mature and senior sellers in their unique real estate needs(SRES).

I came to real estate via a long career in hi tech and project management. All the skills I acquired over that time are necessary in the job I love to do every day now. What's a more detailed project than the most expensive transaction most of us ever undertake! The contracts alone can run over 50 pages... I always say that being a real estate professional found me and not the other way around. I can't think of any job I've enjoyed more than this one since my work puts me in touch with such a diverse group of people and real estate issues. The complexities of our lives just never ceases to amaze me as well as the stories and histories of all my favorite clients. I really count myself as lucky to have worked with such great folks and look forward to many more.

I'd love to share with you why I love the city where I live!

Bethesda is a mix of a vibrant downtown filled with restaurants and art and family friendly neighborhoods filled with trees & parks. The world class Strathmore, cutting edge medicine at NIH, Bethesda Naval, golf courses and a school system ranked in the top numbers nationally are only a few of the reasons why newcomers find their way to this area - and many of them put down strong roots. Bethesda has many generations living together as the kids just buy homes in the neighborhoods where they grew up (including us since we live in the house my husband grew up in)

Close proxmity to Washington, DC is a major reason why the real estate in Bethesda commands a much higher price than in other parts of Montgomery County. For statistics on current pricing, please visit My Blog and look at the market reports. Yes, there is likely to be some sticker shock!

It's a great place to live either for the time you are assigned here or for the long term. We've really got it all... Small town feel, big city amenities!

I'd love to hear from you.
