21 December 2012 - The End of The World

There are many individuals around today that are adamant that 2012 will be the end of the world. Is this so though? And what will it bring? There's debate on a lot of this. Some people believe that the earth is going to be torn apart by some sort of spatial object. This might be a black hole that comes near the earth. Others believe that Planet X, sometimes called Nibiru, is going to return in its long orbit around the sun. The theorists think that Planet X will be passing very close to the Earth at some stage and it will be this that causes the earth's destruction.

Another 2012 Theory

Another theory is that a huge asteroid is going to slam into the planet. But it is scientifically known that no asteroids have an earth bound trajectory in that time period. There will be a "close" asteroid encounter, but this close is actually more than eighteen times the distance from the moon to our earth away. While that's close in astronomical terms, it's not close enough to cause us any problems.

Solar Flare

Other people believe that a solar flare is going to trigger a geomagnetic reversal. This reversal will cause the earth's magnetic north and south poles to switch their polarity, which according to some, will cause massive natural disasters across the planet.
