Why waste money on a TV tuner for your computer when you can stream satellite TV straight to your PC. This program is amazing on the setup I describe below with dual or triple monitors, get your work done on one or two monitors and watch the game on the last one!

- Dell Mini 9 Review

The long awaited "Dell Mini 9" has finally hit the market! It seems that every major PC manufacturer has released a mini laptop/ netbook besides Dell... UNTIL NOW!!! I haven't seen any lenses out there dedicated to this new gadget yet so I thought I would do the world of Squidoo a favor and give a little bit of my time to review this new product. ENJOY!
ITS ORANGE!!!
Dell 24" Ultrasharp 2408WFP
This monitor is BIG, not too big, where you have to sit 10 feet back in order to see anything, but 24" is an optimal size for a basic desktop use monitor. I am a Computer Systems Engineer and use this monitor at work for software design, spreadsheets and such. Configured at 1920x1200, this monitor delivers crisp, clear, vividly balanced colors without displaying text at an unreadable scale. I have used 30" Ultrasharp monitors as well and found it to be a lot like sitting in the front row at the movies, which is amazing for CAD drawings, FPGA design, Software Design, or any multi tasking application. I however would prefer an array of 2 or 3 slightly smaller monitors, which actually add up to being less expensive than a single 30" Ultrasharp monitor.

Dell 27" Ultrasharp 2709W
The 27" Dell Ultrasharp monitor is the perfect middle man to the Ultrasharp family. Let's suppose your basic 19" flat panel LCD just isn't cutting it anymore, you need a solution that will allow you to be more productive, and feel like a badass while you do it. In this case, the Dell 27" Ultrasharp Monitor is your ideal solution. If you've got enough desk space, but are maybe a little timid of the 30" Ultrasharp (It's okay, I am too...) Dell has created a perfect middle ground monitor. Running at a native resolution of 1920x1200, you will be able to hook this guy right up to your laptop (Cannot hook up a 30" Ultrasharp to a laptop) and make an impressive workstation in your home office operating off of your laptop computer. This is my plan once I get some extra cash, pick up a keyboard and a 27" Ultrasharp, along with a docking station and set up a more productive workstation at home that I can just plug into.

Dell 30" Ultrasharp 3008WFP
When nothing but the best, most extreme solution is acceptable, Dell has created the Ultrasharp 30" Display that runs at a native resolution of 2650x1600, yes you will need a dedicated GPU(Graphics Processing Unit). This is the finest monitor that Dell offers. In my field, of Computer Systems Engineering, we have a couple of these displays for FPGA design and large CAD drawings. The great thing about a 30" Ultrasharp monitor is hooking up a TV tuner box to it and having it double as a HDTV. As far as gaming goes, this would be a great monitor, but I still like the idea of triple 24" Ultrasharp monitors better for an all around more realistic gaming experience. The only drawback that I have experienced with a 30" monitor is that you have to sit far enough back from it to not kill your neck and go blind, and the text is often small and can be hard to decipher. You CAN toggle resolutions for different applications though to fix this setback, so you can have readable text at a distance and if you are doing serious Photoshop work, or visual design, crisp, sharp, high resolution viewing.
