Get paid to blog, upload pictures, refer friends, chat, hang out, etc.
1. Drip, Drip, Brew !!!
Take a Sip Out of Debt
Estimated Savings: $100 per monthDrinking coffee has evolved from the traditional pick-me-up in a white ceramic cup to a symbol of social status. We know the brand, we know the trendy, logo-infused cups that seems to be the needed accessory to complete any outfit. But people are spending LOTS of money to keep up with the gourmet coffee trend. Many getting deeper and deeper into debt with each sip!
Here's my solution:
Skip on the fancy, overpriced coffee shops and get your caffeine kick without going into debt.
• Brew Your Own Coffee Each Morning - Takes 10 minutes
• Check out other options for great-tasting, gourmet coffee. I use Boca Java Gourmet Coffee -- Great tasting at a reasonable price.
• Purchase EZ-2-GO disposable coffee cups just like the ones used by the trendy gourmet shops at your local grocery store.
Just think $5 in savings per day!
2. Wrap It ! Bag It! Lose It?
A fatter bank account, a slimmer waistline
Estimated Savings: $100 per monthBeat the lunch hour rush! Save on gas! Pack your lunch and save some bucks! I've tried this with a buddy system of 2 or more people. We would rotate bringing in lunch from home and, believe me, it eased the process. With the buddy system, I only had to bring in lunch twice per week. Not Hard - eh?
In addition to a fatter bank account, I got a slimmer waistline. I ended up losing 5lbs in a month.
Here's my solution:
Pack last night's leftovers for tomorrow's lunch. Not only are you cleaning your refrigerator, but you can save about $6 per day.
Considered a personal chef? Nowadays, this isn't as expensive as you think.

3. Kill the Phone Bill
Ringtones, Messaging & Minutes Exposed
Estimated Savings: $20 per monthDo you really need a cell phone AND home phone? Are you continuously going over your plan minutes? Think about eliminating some phone features on your home phone or get rid of your home phone all together. Or, try using your cell phone for important calls only and downgrading your plan.
Another option is to use text messaging instead of a long-winded phone call - when it makes cents :-) Beware, because too much text messaging can add up.
Hey, here's a freebie. Did you know you could get paid for all those old cell phones lying around your home. Go to the neighbors or to your relatives and rack up. Make great extra income. They'll even pay your postage.
Here's my solution:
Re-Evaluate your phone plans annually to ensure you're are utilizing what you need. Oh, watch out for pricey ring tones too! Click here to receive free ringtones.
Hey, while you're at it, re-evaluate your home phone services too. Get unlimited local and long distance for only $9 per month.

4. Leave Home Without It
No wonder we are drowning in debt!
Estimated Savings: $10 per monthA major credit card company's slogan is "Don't Leave Home Without It." It's no mystery why we are drowning in debt!
How many times have you been a victim of impulse buying? It's easy to get caught up in the moment, and purchase something you honestly don't need. Don't get me wrong. I am all for rewarding myself and buying things I like. But I've learned to do it on my own terms when my budget permits.
Here's my solution:
On the weekends, leave your bank and charge cards at home and carry as little cash as possible. This will prevent impulsive and unnecessary spending.
Also, you may want to consider taking an overall debt assessment for free. See what your options are and possibly become debt free in 1/2 the time.
