Republic Day

26 January of every year is celebrated as Republic Day in India. It is one of three national holidays in India. India got its freedom on 15 August 1947, but it did not have its own constitution at that time, So on 28 August 1947 the drafting committee, under the chairmanship of Baba Bhemrao Ramji Ambedkar was appointed to draft a permanent constitution. After 2 years 11 months and 18 days, the constitution was finally came into effect on 26th January 1950.
While the main parade takes place in the national capital New Delhi at the Rajpath before the president, the anniversary is also celebrated with varying degrees of formality in state capitals and other centres.

India

India is one of the oldest civilizations in the world with a kaleidoscopic variety and rich cultural heritage. It covers an area of 32,87,263 sq km, extending from the snow-covered Himalayan heights to the tropical rain forests of the south. As the seventh largest country in the world, India stands apart from the rest of Asia, marked off as it us by mountains and the sea, which give country a distinct geographical entity. Bounded by the great Himalayas in the north, it stretches southwards and at the Tropic of Cancer, tapers off into the Indian ocean between the Bay of Bengal on the east and the Arabian Sea on the west.
India is one of the oldest civilizations. It is one of the developing countries. It remained for many years under colonial system. Finally it restored it freedom on 15 August 1947. Till then, it is trying to establish its own identity on the world's map.
The India, that was slave for many years, is now raising his head and show how strong it is.

Constitution of India

A constitution is a fundamental legal document according to which the government of a country function. It is the basic law which defines and delimits the main organs of government and their jurisdiction as well as the basic right of the citizens.
India is a country in South Asia. It is the Seventh-Largest country by area and second-largest by population and most populous democracy in the world.

    I am so glad you mentioned Dr. Amedkar, who drafted the Indian Constitution, in your lens. He is not well enough known.
