Waxhaw, It's a great place to visit and live!
Here I'll show you a bit about the town that I've come to love. Waxhaw is close enough to the big city (Charlotte) that you don't feel "in the middle of no-where", but yet still keeps that small town feel. People actually wave and say hi to you on the road (walking or driving!) The stores are great (talk about Antique Capital of the World!) and don't even get me started on Crossroad's Coffeehouse...love love LOVE that place! The schools are wonderful and I can't tell you how happy I am to have my kids there. I'm so glad to live here! *raises glass* Here's to many many more years!

- My squidoo mentors and lifelong friends Nancy and Joan aka Ohme & Joan4 let me to your lens. My sister, Beth lives in Waxhaw and my daughter and her family live in Lake Wylie w/new twin grandsons where I am now rockin', feedin', changin' and burpin'. Squids showing up everywhere... nice lens. Stars and faved.

- Until recently I didn't know much about Waxhaw and then discovered that Andrew Jackson was born there. Is that right? Also have run into some people I know who live there. It is a small world, for sure.
