Murphy, NC is the county seat of Cherokee County, the western-most county in North Carolina.

Depending upon which direction you're heading, Murphy is either the first or last town in the state.

Located in the southern Blue Ridge mountains, Murphy is located between some of the major cities of the area, including Chattanooga, TN; Atlanta, GA; Asheville, NC; and Knoxville, TN.

We have lots of outdoor recreation activities including fishing, hunting, boating, swimming, hiking, cycling, bird watching, and much more for anyone who loves the beauty and diversity of nature.
