Joshua Trees... orchids...coyotes... jackalopes... birds...
The wildflowers are coming... the wildflowers are coming...
As a reporter for The Desert Trail, l0 years ago, I lived in Twentynine Palms and got to visit the Joshua Tree National Park all the time. Now I visit once or twice a year because it is still one of my favorite places.
Twentynine Palms has a Marine base, a new casino being built, an art gallery, and much much more...
Good food
here are a couple of recommendations...
there are bison burgers and weird food (can't remember the name of the place)
edchada's mexican fish tacos...
Ramona's mexican
veggie restaurants (Wonder Garden)
the Carousel Cafe (affordable coffee shop), great breakfasts, omelettes, pancakes and such...
