Optimal Nutrition for Effective & Lasting Weight Loss

The following article addresses issues related to weight loss, and why enzyme-based nutrition can jump-start a metabolism that has been battered and bruised from the recurring cycle of yo-yo diets and unhealthy eating plans found in our culture today. I want to provide hope to anyone struggling with weight loss, and let you know that, YES, it is possible to lose weight in a safe and effective way. If that's you, then please read on. This information has the potential to be life-changing.

The Problem With Diets

The Cycle of Yo-Yo Dieting May Be Undermining Your Weight Loss Efforts!

In our figure-obsessed culture, more people than ever are struggling with weight loss. The diets are plenty, and many of them are promising great results in literally no time at all. While that is appealing to many, and while some may get good results short term, invariably, the weight gain roars back with a vengeance taking us back to square one, discouraged, confused, and without hope that things can actually change.

After numerous ordeals like this, many may decide that it is work a shot to try a "safer approach to weight loss", ie., sound nutrition, good portion control, and a healthy dose of exercise to try to ramp up that metabolism. Many people, especially women, can find themselves getting even more frustrated as they're doing all of the right things this time, but just can't seem to lose much more than two or three pounds, with those few pounds seeming to come from the hands, neck, and feet!

Turn The Key to Unlock Weight Loss

Increase Your Metabolism...Decrease Your Weight!

While many interested observers may be quick to blame it on lack of discipline, I believe the key may very well be physiological. I believe that if we can improve our Metabolism (the rate at which we burn calories for energy), we can significantly improve our ability to lose weight and actually keep it off. The big issue, though, is how to go about this. Well, let's start with the basics-an equation for weight loss:

If the calories consumed are less than those calories burned (metabolized), Weight Loss Will Occur!

As simple as this equation may seem, why have so many frustrated folks had trouble with weight loss? Well, our metabolism may not be working properly. Basically speaking, the process of "Calories Burned" in the above equation is due to metabolism. Metabolism is an extensive process, and there are a number of contributing factors to how well one can burn calories for energy on a daily basis. Some factors to consider include gender, age, and the amount of lean muscle tissue, in addition to daily nutritional status (ie, the consumption of essential vitamins and minerals), I came across an extensive list on dietandhealth.net of all the essential nutrients that we should be consuming daily to attain and maintain optimal health. This information can be quite helpful to know as you consider whether your diet needs an overhaul or just a small tweak as you work towards your weight loss goals. Nutritional deficiencies can potentially derail your weight loss efforts.

Lose Weight and Keep it Off With Enzyme-Based Nutrition

Opening the Door to Safe & Effective Weight Loss that Lasts

Consider the following quote:

"Enzymes are crucial to metabolism because they allow organisms to drive desirable but thermodynamically unfavorable reactions by coupling them to favorable ones. Enzymes also allow the regulation of metabolic pathways in response to changes in the cell's environment or signals from other cells." (Wikipedia.org)

In a nutshell, what we're to understand about enzymes is that they're crucial to metabolism. If we're eating well, and providing our bodies with essential ingredients, that's only represents part of the equation. The next step is for us to effectively utilize the nutrients in a way that optimizes our health. The National Digestive Diseases Information Clearinghouse (NDDIC) provides great resources to help us better understand digestion and the role of digestive enzymes on our health. The Wholistic Research Group suggests that when enzyme production and activity is adequate, digestion is maximized, and health is improved, but in the absence of key digestive enzymes, the effective breakdown of our food may be hindered and can potentially lead to digestive problems, and other disorders. As a result, key metabolic enzymes may be hindered from doing their primary job which is to facilitate the burning of those calories that we take in due to the fact that they're being asked to assist with digestion. In the end, decreased metabolic enzyme activity = decreased metabolism. I think we can see how that will effect us in the end.

What many people need to do in order to restore their metabolism is to begin supplementing with 100% all natural, whole food supplements which include those enzymes needed to jump-start their metabolism. I have seen the amazing results that come from a focus that is not just on the food we consume, but also on the way our bodies digest, absorb, and utilize the nutrients we take in. There is a complete nutritional system that does more than just help with portion control and provide nutrients. It actually promotes improved metabolism to ensure optimal calorie burning.

The Enzyme Diet Solution

Weight Loss That Fits Your Life and Gets Results!

I have had an opportunity to observe some amazing results from The Enzyme Diet Weight Loss System. Although I, and many others, think that it is superb, I realize that, for one reason or another, it may not be for everyone. So here are a few things to look for when considering a weight loss system. These are the hallmarks that make The Enzyme Diet so unique. Please make sure that the weight loss system you are considering...

1. Contains vital all-natural, whole-food nutrients needed to support you and your
body's metabolic enzyme system? (especially when it is a meal replacement
system) WITHOUT STIMULANTS OF ANY TYPE!
2. Promotes the absorption of essential vitamins and minerals into your body?
3. Allows your body to burn maximum amounts of energy while consuming a
moderate number of calories - all without causing cravings or hunger?
4. Keeps you in real life situations, making it easier for you to process and maintain
what you learn? (e.g., using your own food OR providing recipes for you instead
of having to purchase pre-packaged food)?
5. Provides a place (in person or virtually) where you can network with others who
are in the same process as you?
6. Allows for flexibility with your busy, ever-changing schedule?

I wish you well on your quest for optimal health and wellness. It is truly a life-long process, so please remember to take it one day at a time. All change, especially lifestyle change, takes time to adjust to. Most importantly, DON'T GIVE UP! The race is not given to the fastest, but to those who can endure to the end.
