A Summary of the Xbox 360 and it's features
This lens is still a work in progress. More info soon.The Xbox 360 comes in several packages at several prices, to meet your needs.
The first of these is the Arcade system. No hard drive, but a 256mb memory stick.
Next step up includes a 20gb hard drive. This is the "Standard." This is no longer produced by Microsoft, but Amazon.com, and most video game stores will have a refurbished model.
Next we have the "Pro" edition. 60gb HD, includes a wireless controller, but for only $50 more you can get the "Elite" system, detailed below.
If you are really committed to gaming, and want to the best out of your games, grab the "Elite" system(pictured here). The Elite boasts a 120gb hard drive, an HDMI out for Hi-Def, and comes in stylish black. It also supports wireless networks natively.
With a recent firmware update it is now possible to save games from the disc to your Hard Disk Drive. This cuts lag and load times down considerably.

The Xbox 360 is the second video game console produced by Microsoft, and the successor to the Xbox. The Xbox 360 competes with Sony's PlayStation 3 and Nintendo's Wii as part of the seventh generation of video game consoles.
Some major features of the Xbox 360 are its integrated Xbox Live service that allows players to compete online, download arcade games, game demos, trailers, TV shows and movies and its Windows Media Center multimedia capabilities. The Xbox 360 also offers region specific access to third-party media streaming services such as Netfilx in the USA or Sky TV and BT Vision in the UK.
The Xbox 360 was officially unveiled on MTV on May 12, 2005, with detailed launch and game information divulged later that month at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). The console sold out completely upon release in all regions except in Japan, and, as of October 2009, nearly 34 million units have been sold worldwide. The Xbox 360 is currently available in two configurations?the "Arcade" and the "Elite"?and each has its own selection of accessories.

- The XBOX 360 is great, that is until it isnt, Alot of them break, check xbox 360 three red lights, you might need a xbox 360 repair manual

If your home network is wireless, you are going to need the wi-fi adapter, unless you have the Elite system, which already supports a wireless network.
If you spend a lot of time gaming, a cooling station will save you a lot of pain and anger. The system can get pretty hot in extended play sessions.
