3 Red Flashing Lights On Your Xbox 360 Got You Off Your Game?

It's happened to me.  I'm no marathon gamer, but I do enjoy my 360.  I, too, was confronted by the 3 red flashing lights on my Xbox 360.  You can fix it, and there are people willing to help you!

What Causes The Red Ring Of Death?

In a word, heat.

So what caused the 3 red flashing lights on your Xbox 360? There are many, many things that can cause it. The single most common Xbox killer is heat. The high performance of the maching lends itself to generating alot of heat. Microsoft has tried to address this issue, and they are slowly improving the quality of the units.
So heat can cause any number of issues. If you're lucky, the Xbox will throw up a fault code on your screen, but that means nothing to you without the repair guide offered later in this lens. It could be the power supply overheating. Most likely the inside of the Xbox itself has gotten too hot. The CPU overheats easily, the "x-clamps" overheat and loosen. So you've done some searching already, you don't need me to tell you to keep it well ventilated and dust free. Whatever you do, DO NOT put your Xbox in the freezer. Some morons out there on the web actually suggest this as a fix. Can you believe it?

What Can I Do RIGHT NOW To Fix The 3 Red Flashing Lights On My Xbox 360?

It's time someone spoke the truth!

So what can you do RIGHT NOW to fix your problem.  Well, you aren't going to want to hear this, but someone has to be honest.  Most people out there will tell you that you can fix it if you just buy their guide full of stuff you can already find on youtube.  Here's the scoop.  There has been some success with the fault code E68.  It points to a hardware connection of some kind.  Get a blowdrier or just blow on it with your mouth, and blow on any connections (hard drive, ethernet, antenna, and through the case).  This will blow out any dust that could be fouling up the connection.  Aside from that, there is no quick shadetree fix for the 3 red flashing lights on your xbox 360.  I CANNNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH, IF IT'S UNDER WARRANTY, EITHER BUY THE GUIDE, BECAUSE YOU'LL BE VOIDING THE WARRANTY, OR JUST SEND IT TO MICROSOFT!  If you're going to void out the warranty, at least buy THE guide that has a money back guarantee, phone support, chat support, and email support.  I speak from experience when I say that if you void the warranty and end up not fixing it, you will want to kick yourself.  I've been there, done that.

3 Red Flashing Lights On Your Xbox 360 Can Really Ruin Your Day.

It doesn't have to, though.

The holidays are right around the corner. And with the release of a highly anticipated first person shooter, the Xbox 360 has never been more popular. Unfortunately, 360's aren't that reliable. Anybody who has owned one for any significant period of time (myslef included) has fallen victim to yet another microsoft substandard piece of equipment. From it's conception, 360's have been plagued with reliablility issues. They spend millions developing highly sophisticated video games, even more advertising them, only to build inadequate machines built to run for extended periods of time that can handle the "abuse". The Xbox 360 is an amazing machine, and it continues to get better, but it's got it's problems.  The 3 red flashing lights on your Xbox 360 is the most common one.

3 Red Flashing Lights On Your Xbox 360 Might Make You Do Bad Things

I can totally relate to this guy! PWNED!

They're Out There.

I know you've seen them.

This won't be some drawn out lens about the 3 red flashing lights on your Xbox 360. It will be pretty short and to the point. I know you've seen them. The videos. Oh, the videos! Everything about how to fix your Xbox except real, useful guidance and help. Something about pennies. Another about a wet towel. A wet towel? Really? Even if these things worked (which they don't) they don't address the real problem that caused your Xbox to crater in the first place, and are certainly no permanent fix.

Look, the bottome line is, if your Xbox has outlasted it's warranty, consider yourself one of the lucky ones. I, personally, am on my third Xbox. I have three boys all under ten, and I occasionally indulge, so between the four of us, the ol' Xbox gets some family time! But as I've stated before, millions of Xboxes have flopped before the warranty. If it happens to you, don't even consider opening it up and fixing it. Just send it in. My first Xbox went kaput, and I, like many others, took to the internet for a solution. Mine was under warranty, but I opened her up anyway, warranty seals and all, and came away with a still broken Xbox. At least if I had bought this guide I would have fixed it while voiding the warranty. Alas, I had to purchase a new one. My second one failed, again under warranty, but this time, I didn't hesitate. I sent it in and in less than a week, I had it back, ready to go. Say what you want about Microsoft and their crap, but when it came to my warranty, yes it took some time, but I was pleased with their service.

The best lessons are the ones learned the hard way, trust me.
Important!

If You See 3 Red Flashing Lights On Your Xbox 360, And It's Still Under Warranty, SEND IT IN!!!

Obviously, this lens is set up to point you to help when it comes to fixing your Xbox 360. But make no mistake, if it's still under warranty, SEND THE DARN THING IN!!!!! Yes, it will take some time, but it won't kill you. Honestly, If you cannot live without your 360 for two greulling, hellish weeks, then you have deeper issues that need to be worked out. Don't be a fool. If it's under warranty, don't even try to circumvent the warranty seal, it will only cost you money, it happened to me.

3 Red Flashing Lights On Your Xbox 360 (A.K.A. Red Ring Of Death)

The bottom line.

So, your Xbox is busted. Now what? You have a few options. If it's under warranty, no brainer. Send it in. I can't stress that enough. If it's not under warrany, you have more room to wiggle. My advice. Buy the 360 fix kit guide. Here's why. First, it's guaranteed to work. Even for complete newbies. Why are they so confident? Because they walk you through it themsleves. The most up to date video turorials, and picture turorials, all in high definition. It's under thirty bucks, and you get access to their site for a full year. You get live chat support, or phone support, and if you email them, they guarantee you a response within 24 hours, if not in the first two hours. If after all this, you still cannot fix it, then you get a complete refund, no questions asked, then you can go spend your money on a new Xbox.

Like I said, you've searched online like me, that's why your're here. Don't subject yourself to those quirky little youtube fixes. They don't work. Get THE guide with a 99.9 % success rate. You'll fix it right the first time, or you'll get your money back. Plain and simple. It'll either cost you 200 bucks for a new Xbox, or thirty bucks for the guide, and you'll be up and running in less than two hours, guaranteed. I can think of alot of things to do with the extra 170 dollars!
