3 Important Points in Restaurant Staff Training
There are many aspects to the hospitality business, and among them, it is important that the staff is trained properly. And quality restaurant staff training should cover several areas.
More often than not restaurants fail to train their wait staff on the desserts that they offer. Dessert is the last taste of the restaurant that they will experience and suggesting the right dessert, and being able to describe the dessert, is extremely important. Every person in the wait staff should know which desserts are available, when they are available, and what they include.

3 Important Points in Restaurant Staff Training
Table and guest service is probably the most important part of your staff's duties. It is imperative that staff members are able to interact with people of all personalities while taking orders and checking in on their tables. Workers also need to be able to know about all of the dishes that the restaurant offers, and be able to serve with poise. They must be able to know when to clear a table without making a customer feel as if they are rushing them out of the restaurant. Staff training, rather than just putting workers out on the floor, can help them in their jobs immensely.
Wine Service
By offering wine service at your restaurant you can increase your profitably. It is important that your wait staff is fully trained on the wines that you have available. There is nothing worse than having a waiter or waitress who does not know what wine is available, or cannot suggest a wine to go with a meal.

Although there are many more things that go with restaurant service, these are the three most important points that should be covered when the wait staff is being trained. Confidence is extremely important. If the wait staff is confident in their job, the customers will be confident in the service and the food, and will likely come back, usually bringing new customers with them.
