1. Analyze your insecurities
The first step toward overcoming your shyness is analyzing your fears. Ask yourself the following questions:

  • "What am I afraid of?"
  • "What situations do I tend to avoid?"
  • "What makes me feel uncomfortable?"

Now make a list of all your insecurities. Now that you know your enemy, you can take the right action. And the right action is to%u2026 do these things as often as possible. Yup, that's the only effective way to deal with your fears.
Are you afraid of pretty girls? Take dance classes. Meeting new people makes you uncomfortable? Join local clubs and groups of shared interests. Etc.

2. Improve yourself
Now that you got rid of your fears, it's time to increase your self-esteem and improve your self-confidence. People who are confident improve themselves on a daily basis. Self-improvement is necessary to your success. It also has a great influence on your happiness.
Here are a few ideas on how to improve yourself:

  • start weightlifting (and of course change your diet) - it's a very powerful way to increase your self-esteem
  • acquire a new skill
  • learn a foreign language
  • get rid of a bad habit (playing video games, eating junk food, watching TV)
  • form a new positive habit (eating healthy, taking up a new sport, reading books)

Make it a habit to learn at least one new thing a day. It'll tremendously improve your everyday life and also your self-confidence.

3. Take action
Nothing will change in your life if you don't act on your dreams. If you close this lens and remain passive, you'll still remain a shy guy. If you are really serious about improving your self-confidence, now it's time for the hardest part - taking action.

I can share with you dozens of tips on how to act confident, but in the end they won't matter if you don't practice in the field. Start with expanding your comfort zone (facing your fears) and then focus on increasing your self-esteem. Don't be passive. Get off your butt!

1. Note down your fears and face them.
