Learn Successful People Skills
I don't have all the answers, obviously, but I do know three habits or skills that, when used, always make life go better. These skills involve:
- Authentic Communication
- Taking Responsibility
- Living with Awareness
Anyone who struggles with one of those skills has problems in some parts of their lives. If you are lacking in 2 or 3 of those habits your life is a bumpy road.
The great thing is, these skills can be developed and become habit, even seem part of your character. So what's the big deal about these 3 keys to more happiness anyway?

The greatest discovery of my generation is that a human being can alter their life by altering their attitude.
~ William James ~
Skill #1
"Feelings or emotions are the universal language and are to be honored. They are the authentic expression of who you are at your deepest place." ~ Judith Wright ~

Express Yourself
Skill #2
Self responsibility gives a sense of personal power to those who exercise it. It's a bit like graduating to the "grown-ups table" at family dinner celebrations.

Live Your Truth
Skill #3
What do I hear? What do I see? What do I taste or smell? What does my body feel? When two or more people can be in a situation and answer those questions without personal bias, their present reality is virtually the same.
Awake and Aware
Authenticity
being true to yourself
A hunger for authenticity guides us in every age and aspect of life. It drives our explorations of work, relationships, play, and prayer. Teens and twentysomethings try out friends, fashions, hobbies, jobs, lovers, locations, and living arrangements to see what fits and what's "just not me." Midlifers deepen commitments to career, community, faith, and family that match their self-images, or feel trapped in existences that seem not their own. Elders regard life choices with regret or satisfaction based largely on whether they were "true" to themselves.by Karen Wright, Psychology Today
Things alter for the worse spontaneously, if they be not altered for the better designedly.
~ Francis Bacon ~

- Taking responsibility is indeed one of the traits of successful people. It prevents us from blaming other people for our misfortunes and propels us instead to take creative actions for our success.
