    Great lens. I love the idea of the newspaper of the date they were born. That's very unusual and unique in my opinion and I would certainly appreciate that as a gift. Gave you a squidlike.

    Great ideas - I always get stumped with gift giving. Would you consider doing one of these by decade (or even year) - or by person (like hubbies for example)?? Kind of like lists from a birthday personal shopper? Believe me - those of us who are not such talented/creative gift givers would appreciate it. I'm always brainstorming with friends who ARE good at it when I have to find a gift.

    My wife's birthday was in January, so for the last few weeks of 2010, I was trying to think of what I could do for her. Besides, she was born in 1980 and it was still 2010, so she was turning 30. Right? So, I took her to Berns Steakhouse, the most famous restaurant in Tampa. I bout her a birthday cake w/ "30" on it. Only problem was that father time decided to change the year from 2010 to 2011, meaning that she was actually 31!!! She actually thought it was pretty funny. I was off the hook for really thinking she was a year younger. Few!

    This ‘30th Birthday gift ideas lens page’ give me some great ideas on what to get my wife for hers. She is feeling a bit low for the last few days as she can clearly see herself on the other side of the 30s barrier. Though some of the ideas here are truly innovative and warm, I wanted to give her something that will bring her out of the blues and help her feel young, beautiful and desirable again. That is when one of my internet searches hit the term ‘lingerie as a gift for your wife or girlfriend’. I though that’s it! That’s bound to do the trick.
    As my wife loves her lingerie, I narrowed in one the concept of giving her some classy and elegant, yet alluring and sexy lingerie pieces for her 30th birthday. I found a couple of really good pieces at quite reasonable prices on an online lingerie store. I have picked up two pieces, one is a classic and elegant piece that will make her feel cherished and loved and one is a tantalizingly sexy piece that is bound to set her heart racing and bound to make her feel years younger. I will update this comment when I get her reaction so that I can report it to you guys. In any case, this is a really good idea.     Great Lens ! I think when one turns 30, he realizes his childhood and teen years are far behind him. So presents reminding childhood or teenage are usually a good idea !

    for my best friend's 30th, i filled a box with 30 cheap and fun items, and gave her a list of what each item meant:

    * a pack of tissues: for being there for me when i needed a shoulder to cry on
    * a candle: because she is a light in my life

    and so forth! she was very touched! great lens! love the 1981 music, so fun.

    The best present I've ever given was for my wife's 30th last December. She was already getting a bunch of christmas presents, so just buying something wasn't enough -- it had to be really special. So a bunch of friends got together and made a group photo album for her. It was great because each person only had to make one page, but the end result was really cool. She actually cried she was so happy. We used keepsy.com but you could probably use another photo site. But they are made of this kind of gift book where everyone does just a couple of pages.

    Great ideas! Love the "T" with fancy writing and the message. Just had an idea - How about preserving time and getting one of the fun photo albums? I know that most of the folks love the digital era and being able to delete the bad hair days and after party photos. It surely is cool, but why not do something the birthday girl/boy will appreciate years later - collect several of her/his photos that you may have and put it in an album. OK, for the ones that really hate the 'hard copy' a small digital frame of fun photos may be an idea.

    I love to give gifts that keep on giving. For a milestone birthday like 30, give a celebration jar. Go to www.celebrationjar.com. I gave one to a friend of mine who turned 30 and was it a hit. Messages were gathered and presented at a camping event. She cried, laughed etc. She still reads them and this was 2 years ago!

    Great gifts! My cousin is turning 30 in two weeks and she's down in the dumps because of it. Besides the gold necklace with matching gold earring, made with 22kt solid gold, that I'd gotten for her, I want to give her something more... cheery. I'd probably get her Dr. Seuss' "You're Only Old Once!" It looks like a fun kiddish book she can laugh about. But then again, the 30th birthday thong looks more appealing. haha!

    Great selection! When my husband turned 30 recently, he was a bit depressed about it. I decided to skip the old jokes that year, but I did use letter candles to spell OLD on another birthday cake. Good times! 5 stars and a lensroll!
