That training method came to be regarded as the 300 Workout Plan. The 300 workout gets its name from the total number of repetitions executed in the workout. 6 distinct exercises total 300 repetitions. There isn't anything specific about 300 reps. That number may be more of a promotion technique then based on any foundation in exercise practice. You will see starters doing 100 reps and there are 500 rep versions as well.

In fact only 17 of the team and staff had finished the 300 workout. The actual 300 workout system wrapped up the closing months of training. A bit like like a graduation examination. It was only completed following many months involving substantial exercise with body mass, medicine balls, bars and Kettlebells. Which means don't believe you are likely to accomplish this workout on a daily basis or jump into it if you are not in very good shape.

Calling it "The 300 Workout, " you are likely aware of the actual intention: You desire to be like one of the respectable 300 warriors who protected their country and culture in opposition to overwhelming swarms of approaching barbarians. As you analyze still photos from the motion picture, you make a list of the objectives-six-pack abs, rippling biceps and forearms, shoulders the size of an old Buick, impressive legs, and all round tone and harmony between all your perfectly attractive muscle groups. To have a lot of these ambitious goals, it is likely you should begin with a Spartan frame of mind along with a essential motivation. Primary, the Spartans had been devoted to the perfect mens sana in corpore sano-a sound mind in a sound body. These people were as well educated and as principled as they were fit. Secondly, Spartan warriors rigorously trained their bodies and minds for years. Your dedication to "The 300 Workout" cannot last only a couple of weeks or months; rather, it symbolizes devotion to a demanding diet and lifestyle which includes personal development as well as physical conditioning.

"Buff" is without a doubt good, Ripped Abs Are Better
Even professional bodybuilders, who earn large prizes for their exquisite musculature, recognize that pragmatics win over aesthetics. Translation: Practical muscle matters considerably more compared to sheer bulk. Many beginners don't understand that they can increase bulk to their muscles without having corollary gains in strength; essentially, they inflate their muscles exclusively for the sake of appearance-not at all what "the 300" had in mind, and certainly not what empowered them to withstand the siege. Even more to the point, when you commit to "The 300 Workout, " you commit to a fitness regimen that prepares you to prevail in battle. Because your neighborhood probably is not beset by barbarians, you should take a little time to study your "opponent, " asking and detailing the answers to, "At what, exactly, do you expect to triumph? " In other words, how can you adapt your workout routines to the expectations of your job and your every day life?

The original 300 Workout looked something like this:

· Pullups - 25 reps
· Deadlifts with 135lbs - 50 reps
· Pushups - 50 reps
· 24-inch Box jumps - 50 reps
· Floor wipers - 50 reps
· Single-arm Clean-and-Press with 36lbs Kettlebell - 50 reps
· Pullups - 25 reps

Mens Health, who was the first magazine to publish the 300 workout, actually did come out with a Bodyweight version. It looked something like this:

· 15 bodyweight rows
· 25 bodyweight squats
· 15 pushups
· 50 jumping jacks
· 20 mountain climbers
· 10 close grip pushups
· 15 bodyweight rows

As you can see, this workout only has 150 repetitions. You can double the repetitions to make it 300. There are hundreds of different variations to this 300 workout that you can perform. All it takes is a little creativity. For example, if you wanted to create a workout that trained your body to be more explosive, then you can perform a 300 workout like this:

· 30 Chinups
· 50 Squat Jumps
· 30 Clap Pushups
· 100 Jumping Jacks
· 40 Tuck Jumps
· 20 Dive Bombers
· 30 Pullups

The concept is to finish the exercise session as swiftly as possible. The better shape you're in the quicker you are able to complete the 300 workout.

There are a few elements which make this 300 workout so effective.

It is a total body workout. With the 300 workout you are reaching just about every muscle in your body.
The pull ups work your lats and biceps.

Deadlifts are superb lower body exercise in conjunction with low back. The best thing about this exercise is that it's about as close to a full body activity that you can get. It is clear that the lower body and low back are at work. But what you may not notice is usually all the other muscles involved. Everything from your feet to your shoulders are working to get the weight of the floor.

The floor wipers work the core, arms, shoulders, and chest.

The box jumps add even more to the cardiovascular demands. The clean and press is another highly demanding exercise that works your entire body and will leave you out of breath.

Generally speaking the 300 workout system is a superb workout routine that will help you shed unwanted body fat, build up muscle, and maximize your overall fitness levels.

I've never tried the 300 workout, but it's something that I will challenge myself with at some point. I agree 100% with the need to avoid fat burning pills and the like. Unfortunately people fall for these things when really what is needed is a good exercise regime and a diet plan.
