My 2009 Weight Loss Journal. How Much Will I Lose?

This is May 2nd, 2009, and one-third of the year is gone. My weight loss program for the summer will drastically change. I will be burning calories and I will be trying to lose weight by eating sensibly. Considering our diets and our sedantary lifestyle, we are one of the most obese nations in the world.
Now that I am over forty years of age, I have to make sure that I maintain a certain weight. Right now I am well over my ideal weight of 180 lbs.
I will be using the Wii Fit, Active Life: Outdoor Challenge, and Gold's Gym Cardio Workout - I will also be trying to diet using Weight Watchers to lose weight. But the core of my fitness program will be Wii Fit with Hardware and Bag Bundle for Nintendo Wii

I will will be making frequent entries over at my Weight Loss blog or my weight loss diary at Losing Weight in 2009 to check out my progress.. I have set up the Blog as a Weight Loss Diary, because I have read that keeping a Weight Loss Diary will help you keep to your goal. And it is right. Whenever I feel the urge not to exercise, I feel guilty because I have to keep to my weight loss regime. So, many of the things I will be incorporating into my weight loss, you will find on my blog.

Losing Weight Quickly, or Losing Weight Sensibly? 

Losing weight quickly or losing weight sensibly. If you look in the newspapers, magazines or even on the internet you will see ads and articles about how to lose weight quickly. I am not a strong fan of losing weight quickly from personal experience. I went on a 140 day juice fast and lost enough weight to get down to 175 pounds. I felt good. I ran two miles a day and I was as fit as a fiddle.
Unfortunately, I gained it all back. I weighed over 280 pounds a year later. Now I am trying to lose all of that weight. I am changing my eating habits, and I am doing regular exercise - six days a week.

Over the Last Month I have lost over 6 pounds 

I have set up this lens to detail my Weight Loss over a 30 Day period.

Over the last month I have lost over 6 pounds. I have gone from 246 lbs down to 240 lbs. I have used the Wii Fit game, Cycling, and for the most part the weight loss process of Weight Watchers
I will have burned off 335 calories in 30 minutes, check my The Sports Blog for more info. I will have burned about 250 calories wacking the ball against the wall for a total of 585 calories. Check out this This Calorie Counter.
A marathon runner was able to get their heartbeat up to 135 beats per second using the Wii Fit. Their heartbeat when they are jogging in a marathon is 145 beats per second. So, I have estimated the calories being burnt when jogging on Wii Fit will be 573 calories.

I will have to keep my calorie consumption at 1800 per day. So, I am off 30 Day Weight Loss Challenge.
Writing down my daily intake will probably make me more conscientious about my eating habits, and experts say I will be more likely to stick with my diet as a result. I think that this is true, because I want it to succeed now!

The Winter is the hardest time of the Year for Me to Lose Weight 

The winter is the hardest time of the year for me to get some decent exercise. I can not ride my bicycle. I love being outdoors. I have worked out in gyms, but for the most part they bore me. They are dusty and dreary.
During the winter in the Northeast it is next to impossible to ride the bike. It is too cold and there is too much snow. We purchased the .Nintendo Wii Sports Bundle with 5 Sports Games

When the weather gets better, I want to hit the pavement and run outdoors. I am on a very strict vegetarian diet with a little fish and dairy to get me through.
