This lens will help you find those juicy hard-to-get backlinks so you can get your site ranked in top positions for competitive keyword phrases on Google's search engine.
As you're aware, link building is time consuming and can be extremely frustrating. Just when you find a a juicy spot to put your link, you look at the page source and see the "No Follow" tag...yikes!
So... I've created this lens to show you how you can literally force high page rank websites to link to yours...

How Michelle MacPhearson got ranked #5 for "Cool Tattoos"
I stumbled across 30 Minute Backlinks in March of 2008 after looking everywhere on the internet for cheap and easy white hat link building strategies.
After watching Michelle's video I did some research on her claims and discovered that she did, in fact, have over 130 inbound links from authority sites when I did a "site:" search in Yahoo. Also, she ranked very well for several of her keywords and, for those of you aren't familiar with Google, this is near impossible with a brand new domain and only 3 pages of content.
Since the initial launch of the site, Michelle now has over 400 high PR backlinks and currently ranks #5 for "cool tattoos" (as of 7/5/08). You can see the proof by typing "cool tattoos" in Google. Her site is www.mytattoodesignslive.com.
You can research the links and their page rank pointing to this site by doing a "site:www.mytattoodesignslive.com" search in Yahoo.
You'll notice that she has hundreds of high page rank links coming from software websites that have a page rank of up to 7. You can watch the video on her initial launch by clicking here.

How 30 Minute Backlinks Works
Here's the 30 Min Breakdown...
1. Identify the keyword phrases you want to rank for and create a list.
2. Create 1 of the 5 simple softwares Michelle shows you how to create online within 5-10 minutes.
3. Create a PAD file for the softwares where you'll fill in your keywords and tell the software sites where to link to on your website.
4. Upload your software and PAD file to your website and submit the PAD file to the locations Michelle specifies. You will also download some free software that allows you to do this quickly.
5. Rinse and Repeat. Be careful not to do more than one software per day as too many backlinks might set off some alarms with Google and get your site sandboxed.
Since the software directories need to approve the software first you'll receive a natural trickle of backlinks over the course of 3 days to a month. This is GOOD! You do not want 100s of backlinks pointing to a brand new site immediately. It's all about natural link growth.

Try creating softwares that are attractive to those who download the software, so that you will get affiliate commissions or traffic to your website.
Personally, I like to create toolbars and fill them with my affiliate links in case anyone decides to purchase from visiting the websites I list. If you do this, make sure that the toolbar has links related to the software's title.

- For those below who have not had success with 30 Minute Backlinks you must not be doing something right. I purchased the full version of PromoSoft at devlab.net which submits to over 1000 software directories. I've had no sandboxing issues and have been able to get top rankings for many sites just submitting simple screensavers. If you just use the trial versions that submit to 30 sites you obviously won't make as big of an impact as 1000+ being posted naturally over time.

- I bought a different product on this backlink technique (10000backlinks.com) and paid $67. However, I have just found out today that Yahoo, Bing and Ask have just dropped my site http://www.skincancer-survivor.com! Is this supposed to happen after submitting just the once??!!! My alexa ranking has just bottomed out too!

- Honest review of 30 minute backlinks, complete waste of time. Spend 2 days going through the videos and doing everything it said, creating tool bars, calculators, screen savers... after a month I have 4 backlinks from software directories, wow!
Anyone can find out how to do this for free, just look into how to get backlinks from software directories and save $100.
Also, the site that she mentions in her video that she said went high because of '30 minutes of work.',
Well, go onto Yahoo backlink finder or something like that and put that site in and you will see hardly any backlinks from software directories but nearly all from web directories. There can be no denying that. Sorry but imo people singing the praises of this product are affiliates trying to get some money. If it is great then they can name their sites they did so well with using this method and we can check out the backlinks. Of course they never used this thing in their life.
Take it from me, avoid this at all costs

I think the reason it doesn't work, is because all the backlink text is the same. So if you do 400 backlinks in 1 day with the same backlink text, Google will probably nuke all your links! Despite what the course provider says.
If you submitted to these directories slowly, like maybe 10-20 per day, you may avoid the sandbox effect. I did not try this because it was such a pain to use this system. This is only if you have a brand new site. If you have an aged domain, you could probably submit 50-100 a day with no problem.
And finally, it's very difficult to create the software/ pad file. She does a good job with the video instructions, however it's still very difficult to figure out. She's a computer programmer so she thinks it's easy to build these things. It's not! My I.Q is only 120, not 160 like her's.

- I purchased 30 minute backlinks about 8 months ago? She tells you to submit the software pad file to hundreds of software directories all at once. She said she did that on her brand new domain and it was NOT sandboxed by Google, it wound up on page 1 of Google.
So I tried the same thing. I created a brand new Blogspot.com blog. It was optimized for the keyword I was going for (but not too optimized). The keyword had average competition. I then did the 30 minute backlinks method.
There was absolutely NO INCREASE IN RANKINGS! Even after 4 months the site never showed up anywhere. Before I made the site I emailed her and asked if this system would work on a Blogspot.com blog. She said yes it would.
So I would strongly suggest you don't bother wasting your money on it. Not only does it not work, but it should be called 3 hour backlinks. That's how long it takes to create the software and padfile. Then it takes another half hour to submit it.

I don't remember where or when but I know this I've seen the system some where before so if any body else knows who actually started this system or created it then just reply to this post. - Hi WorldTravelers916, this lens is the normal layout. You can add and remove modules when editing a lens.
As far as adding tables with color and changing font size, styles, colors, etc., you can get all the code and just copy and paste from another lens which lists all the available html (code visual).
Just type in "Squidoo HTML" in Google and it's the first spot. The advanced html one is right below it :)

- JChris78, I can see that you are passionately against people purchasing and using this product and even put in the effort to write a negative review. From the review your objections are 'price' and that 'this is nothing new'.
Well, Michelle values her system at $97 and that's the price if you want a step by step walk through of a proven system that she's made easy enough for a 12 year old to follow. If you think you can do it better and want to charge less then go for it, that would be much more productive than writing in the negative don't you think?
I already stated what the system entails in this review, so it's no secret that this isn't a new concept. BUT, most people like a step-by-step guide (I'm one of them) because we aren't intimate with a PAD file or the process itself. It would take us many, many, hours to figure this all out on our own and we see the value of saving time and getting a proven traffic and Google Ranking system.

- Honestly, I don't know what all the hype about this product is. This product is mediocre, at best. The process of submitting to software directories to get backlinks is nothing new.... go to any forum like Digital Point. The quality of the backlinks is nothing special, either.... roughly on par with all the random free directories floating around.
Software directories can be one tool in the toolbox... and the method is certainly worth including in a guide or article. But charging $97 and hyping it up like she does is like charging $97 for a Mcdonalds value meal.

- There isn't reciprocal linking, so the search engines won't discount the links.
You don't have to come up with silly article topics or spend tons of money hiring someone to write content for you and the submissions won't be penalized for duplicate content.
Requires no technical background - each aspect is explained and displayed in step-by-step format.
Takes about 30 minutes to build and submit your software - and each submission creates hundreds of potential links for your site.

- Hello, I checked your poker site and I see, Google doesn't count any backlinks to your site though it is indexed. These software directories - di links from them count at all for Google? I have doubts.

- Hey Kaye, the softwares are very easy to create and you do them yourself online - No PLR.
Most of the software are created online and you're just choosing options for the software. If you can click a mouse, you can create these softwares - that easy.
Yes, all the software submitters are all free trials and you'll probably want to purchase the full version of what Michelle recommends.
Either way it's a good idea because you're results will be amplified by 70 links each time you submit. I think the full version was between $20 - $40 for the one I use.
You DO NOT need to be tech savvy to do this. Michelle is wonderful at breaking everything down into the smallest steps possible. It actually made me, a tech savvy person, annoyed, lol. But, she doesn't miss a thing and you can pause her videos and follow along. Hope that helps?

I'm interested with Michelle's product. I have just a few concerns, hope you don't mind answering them.:)
1. You have mentioned that one of the ways this backlinking works is through buying PLR rights to a software or free rebrandable software for submission, I thought Michelle teaches on how to do the software by ourselves?
2. It was indicated in her website that the methods are free and/or have a free trial, how much do you think do it would cost us to make the whole strategy work?
3. I'm not much of tech savvy person, and from the reviews I have read, it is implied that some creativity has to be used in making the "softwares"/toolbars etc. so it would be picked up or whatever, how can I do that when I know nothing...ZERO...with tech stuff?

- Toolbars is one of the better softwares because you actually get 2 softwares out of it (IE Explorer and Firefox versions); however, I have created 3 of the five softwares available. Another thing that's cool about toolbars is that you can fill them with your affiliate links. Highly recommended!
