A True Southern Town Full of History.

Welcome to our Town.

There are many contrast found in Huntsville, a southern country town full of history and a town full of engineers and High Tech. Industry; farms and Universities.

Huntsville is home to the NASA Space and Rocket Center and is also noted for it's History and Antebellum Homes.

Located in North Alabama, near the Tennessee Border, in the Tennessee Valley.

Our Home for the Last 22 Years

We actually live just north of Huntsville in a small town called, Meridianville. My husband Jim was born in Hazel Green in 1929 along the Flint River, this is very near where we live now.

Jim has many great short stories he has written about growing up in and around Huntsville. You can read some of these stories at our website:
http://www.JimAndKathysCorner.com

He joined the Air Force in his late teens and began his travels around the world. I met him in 1973 in Anchorage, Alaska, just as he was retiring from the Air Force and Opening his Real Estate Office.

In 1987 we decided it was time to move south and get warm. So we moved back to where Jim began.

This is a lovely community about 15 minutes from downtown Huntsville. So most of our shopping and dining out is done in Huntsville.

Some of our favorite restaurants are: Gibsons BBQ, Logans, CrackerBarrel, The Old Greenbriar BBQ Restaurant, and of course Posey's.

What we enjoy about this area is that it is centrally located; just 2 hours north to Nashville and 2 hours south to Birmingham. It is about 6 or 7 hours to the Alabama Beaches and 4 hours to Atlanta, Ga.

The people are what keep us anchored to this lovely place. Southern Hospitality is real, especially in this community.

Great Job Kathy! These zipper lenses are fun to do! I was looking at the 4 day forecast for your area and see highs are to be in the 50-60's. Here in Coeur d'Alene, they predict a high on Monday of 8 and a low of -5!! BURRRRR! Break Out the Long Johns!

Thanks for stopping by. Scottsboro is also a fun town. We used to go to the First Mondays on the town square, when Jim's Dad were alive. Haven't been in awhile now.[in reply to Joan4]
