A link can be placed pritty much anywhere these days. The reason for making a link was to send people to a page that was "linked" to subject or idea of the page with the lnk on it. Yes that is all there is to it.

- Write Guest Articles - writing (free) content for other people's sites is a good way to get a few quality links. You can cite yourself in the content (with links) and you be sure that the topic of the page matches the topic of the page(s) you link to.
- Create a lens - this is quite a lot of work as it requires that you get links to the lens and promote it. It is not for the faint of heart as it needs to be backed up with a lot of hard work to be properly effective.
