3D Modeling Programs From Hundreds of Dollars to FREE

There are a lot of 3D modeling programs to choose from. Some are very expensive and some are completely FREE. I am an avid 3d graphics enthusiast. My preferred 3d modeling program is Daz Studio. Why, you may ask? Well, there are a couple reasons. First, Daz Studio is free. Which, for someone who is just starting out in the world of 3D, is awesome. Second, when it comes to making my renders, Daz Studio does an awesome job. For me, a free 3D modeling program that works just as well as one that costs hundreds of dollars is far superior.

All images used in this and my other lenses were created by me in Daz Studio.

I ask you this: If you were holding two separate 3d modeling programs in your hands and one was totally free and the other cost hundreds of dollars, what would you do? Naturally, you would assume that the expensive program was superior, right? In this case, wrong. You will find that Daz Studio has nearly all the same options as some of the more expensive 3d modeling software, yet it is totally free to download and start using. It even has some add-on features like Finder that makes it a far easier program to learn and use.

    Thanks Paul...Yeah I agree rendering in Poser is way too slow. My biggest complaint with Poser is how hard it is to find my content in the program. Let's face it, those of us with a 3d addiction have a lot of content. I fell in love with Finder for Daz Studio. Why other programs can't implement something like that I just don't understand.

    Hi 3dArtLover. I am also a 3d art lover,and 3d model builder.Who loves Carrara and Daz Studio.
    Not to keen on poser to slow rendereing but i use carrara to render poser stuff any way.
    But when Making models MAYA is so cool. I am going to favorite your lens, Thanks Paul.
