We have commenced a real time 3D web portal which can be seen at http://www.popwebcity.com. The project is evolving continuously (almost like an open source project) so many aspects will be improved over the course of time from graphics to interactivity. Further, the project will grow so the actual city will expand with new districts and will be connected to other cities (many of them with local representative aspects from a specific country) and even other worlds with sub-projects like a VR Moon. The main concern was download speed which is why we have had to optimize the application to the extreme yet at the same time we wanted a wide audience, so less minimum requirements. The project has many aspects besides commercial ones. We will have an entertainment part with games and so on and encyclopedic part too. Those aspects will be present in every sub-project but in different ratios. Another part is a strong connection with users and clients, so soon we will have an open forum to discuss the aspects of the VR world and a chat system. For example, you will be able to go shopping, have fun, find out new things and make new friends all at the same time. Any comments are welcomed. I`ll keep you informed with further development.
