All this can be attained through regular practice and lots of exercises. Although there are special exercises for fencing, here is a list of some basic exercises which in general will help you to improve your performance.

* Stretching is the simplest way of exercises, which helps quite a lot in being flexible. Actually it helps the frozen or stiffened muscles to release gradually. As the muscles become more elastic, you will feel much better in performing at the match. Leg stretch, back stretch, arm stretch or abdominal stretch - these are some of the useful stretching exercises. However, you have to follow a routine stretching schedule on a daily basis otherwise you will not receive the benefit out of it.

* Yoga has proven to be much effective to improve body fitness and body flexibility in general. On top of this, yoga increases the concentration power. For better performance in the tournament, you need to concentrate at the game. There are certain techniques in yoga, which trains you the skills to improve your concentration ability. Through yoga you can also have more endurance and strength, which are going to be much beneficial for you. But you should not start practicing yoga of your own, as unknowingly you can hurt yourself. Take lessons of yoga from a knowledgeable instructor.

* Exercise ball is another fun way to enjoy effective exercising. Initially you might find some problems on sitting top of the ball, however with practice it will become easier to control. Using the exercise ball you can build up plenty of flexibility, endurance and fitness by preparing the muscles on the back. You can consider following different types of exercising methods using the exercise ball. But first of all you must gather information on the techniques or find out a reputed training center to learn.
