    100% agree Daz is probably one of the best 3D art/Animation starters available, and it's free. It seems they make their money by selling additional plug-ins and models, but there are also thousands of freebies available (check out Daz3D's own site and Renderosity and others)

    Check out You Tube for examples of the wonders you can create as long as you bring just a little talent to your work :)
