They make a great addition to a child's room or a home office. Build them up, take them down and do them all over again.

Many do a great job teaching, too, as kids become enchanted with the historical buildings and monuments from all around the world.

New York City 3D Jigsaw Puzzle

Very challenging city scene

One of the most popular, and challenging, 3d puzzles to complete is the New York City 3D Jigsaw Puzzle. It's the ultimate puzzle experience including buildings, streets, and the Twin Towers.

The set includes an instruction book. With over 3000 pieces, you'll need it. ;)

I'm an avid CSI fan (all of them!) and I remember when Mac Taylor's life in NY was being depicted by a suspect in the form of missing pieces from this New York New York 3D puzzle.

Puzzle Pieces

Sturdy Construction

Three dimensional puzzles take the excitement of regular jigsaws up a notch. They challenge kids to think about the relationships between size and space and exercise one's ability to think logically. To actually construct buildings and structures that mimic their real-life counterparts allows you to explore these structures in a more manageable but life-like scale. What's not to love about immersing yourself in the streets of NYC or exploring King Arthur's castle from your own living room?

In order for 3D puzzles to hold their shape, the pieces are different from regular jigsaws. They may be made from quality woods or from paper attached to sturdy foam. They're meant to be self-supporting and do not require glue or other materials in order to maintain their shape. All you need to get started is a puzzle and some place to set it up - the floor, the table, a desk.
