Listing of the Best 40 inch Plasma HDTVs
The 40 inch Plasma TV is quite possibly the perfect TV. In fact, I'm so convinced, I own one. Now, the Plasma vs LCD debate has been going on for a while and, before we list all the great plasma HDTVs out there, let me say this. Plasma is a better picture... hands down. Put that together with a price that typically beats LCD by $300 - $500 on comparable sizes... It just makes sense to buy Plasma. Seriously, I researched it for months. Plasma is a WAY better deal!
720p vs 1080i
A quick note before we begin
Here it is, in a nutshell... All reports say that, unless your screen is over 50 inches or you sit very close to the screen, you will not be able to see the difference in 720p and 1080i.
So, if you want to save money, go with 720p. If you want the latest and greatest technology, go with 1080i. And, yes, Blue-ray looks stunning on 720p (see paragraph above).

COMMENTS - This was the #2 TV on my personal list. At the end of the day, I chose the samsung based on an in-store comparison of the two. It was a toss up. Honestly, they both rock the show. Buy this and you'll be happy!

COMMENTS - LG makes a quality television. However, compared to the Samsung and Panasonic, the LG loses out on styling. The frame is just too big. Maybe at $650, I'd go for it... but for the money, look to this list's #1 and #2.
