The Alternatives To Gasoline
I'm sure if you're like me, you hate to pull up to the gas pump and see the awful prices at the pump. Honestly, who wants to pay over four dollars a gallon to drive places? Wasn't this gas only a few dollars a gallon just a year ago? As much as we vent, we always try to find ways around it but when it comes to gas, it's something we need so matter how much they charge, we will always come out of the woodwork and pay it but the question today is "Are there alternative to fuel" and the answer is YES! Let me explain a few to you....

When it comes to filling up your vehicle every day, you often think to yourself, "Where does this gas come from and how does the pricing work, etc, etc?" The questions that you sometimes think about may go on forever. gas mileage tips, Hybrids, Diesels, Alt Fuels, Etc.Since you can't get every answer in life, I want to discuss some big issues that pertain to the gasoline industry. Hopefully after you read this article, you'll better understand the industry and how it works.
What's the future of the oil industry?
Let's face it, as long as vehicles run on gas, there will be a demand for gasoline. As car manufactures try to gear away from the gasoline powered engine and put more work into a hybrid type model, people often wonder if they'll ever even see this type of car. It's a question that is on everyone's mind.
When it comes down to the industry, it really comes down to supply and demand. Like any product on the market, if there's a demand for it, it's going to have a price tag. The higher the demand, the more it's going to cost the consumer.
Are we looking at the highest gas prices ever?
Believe it or not, we aren't looking at the highest gas prices ever. If you look back at historical data that pertains to gas prices, you'll notice that in the late 70's, early 80's, gas prices were about the same they were today in 2008. If you add in inflation, you'll realize that gas prices are well below the historical average.
Why is gas cheaper in some states?
If you ever travel the globe, you'll notice that gas prices are different in other areas. Why is this? There are a lot of factors that come into play when it comes to determining gas prices. A few factors that come into play are the proximity of the supply, how much competition there is in the market around you, operating costs, and state taxes.
When it comes to state taxes, every state will vary; this is what plays a big part in determining local gas prices. Another fact that comes to mind is the area you fill up in. As you may know by now, each country within your state has its own tax schedule. Some counties will have higher tax brackets than others which plays an effect on gas stations in that area.
When it comes to gasoline industry, there are so many questions people have when it comes down to it. The best way to find your answers is to either do a little research online or if you can't find what you're looking for on there, your local library should have an extensive collection of information pertaining to many popular gas topics.
Gas will be around for a while and like I mentioned above, it's not going anywhere as long as vehicles are travelling the roads. If you're sick of the gasoline prices and how they work, there are many alternatives to saving on fuel; it's your job to take action!

E85 and Bioethanol
I'm sure you're reading this subtitle already and thinking to yourself, "I've heard of this, doesn't it contain gasoline?" The simple answer to this question is yes. E85 is an alcohol fuel mixture that is made up of 85% denatured fuel ethanol and gasoline by volume. E85 is generally better for the economy and is also relies on the corn crop. This means that if America ever catches onto the E85 based fuels, a demand for corn will definitely crow. As I look at it, no matter what the economy runs on, there will always be a demand for a natural resource.

Battery Electric
Another type of car that's trying to catch on is the battery electric vehicle. As it says, a battery electric car solely relies on the battery of the automobile. This would mean that you would have to charge your car at home or a charging station in order for your car to work. You could almost picture this like a cell phone. As your battery bar gets lower, you will need to charge it up. There would be no difference with a vehicle like this.

CNG
CNG or known as compressed natural gas is another substitute for gasoline. CNG is considered to be one of the more environmental friendly substitutes. CNG is made by compressing natural gas and is stored in natural containers.

As you can notice by now, there are a few alternative ways that come to gasoline. What you have to remember is that the USA and the rest of world, well some parts of the world just aren't catching on or not putting in enough research. When it comes to creating a substitute, you have to factor in many other things like stations where you would fill up regardless of what it is.
You could only imagine what it would look like if you're taking a road trip and your electric battery died. Another thing to keep in mind is the infrastructures, the development of cars, etc. This is something that can't be done overnight.
As long as we are patient and we don't buy the big SUVs and drive to places we don't need to go to, us as people could possibly drop the demand for gas therefore dropping the prices. If we choose to do the opposite then we can't blame anyone but ourselves.

What Determines The Gasoline Price?
What Determines The Gasoline Price?
As we fill up with gasoline every day, a lot of us sit back and wonder how exactly is the gasoline price determined? What plays the part of making the gas prices so low or so high? In this article, we are going to explain a few factors that play a part in determining the gas prices. Hopefully after you read these points, you'll better understand the gas industry and how gas prices are determined.
Amount of oil produced
Oil comes from all points of the world and as you may know by now, a majority of the United States' oil comes from the Middle East. If the oil supply starts to dwindle, this will cause less of a supply causing the price to rise. If the supply is too high, obviously the price will lower so that it'll sell. This will bring us into the supply and demand part of gas.
Supply and demand
Like anything you buy or see in the stores, it all comes down to supply and demand. If there's a lot of demand for a product, the price will be higher because the businesses know it will sell. If the demand for the product is lower, the businesses will have to cut costs in order to compete and let the products fly off the shelves. Supply and demand is also a big part of the gas industry.
Wars
Believe it or not, wars have always made an impact on gas prices. If you look at the gas price history, you will notice that higher gas prices were always around during wars. Some experts say that wars have nothing to do with gas prices and others say that wars conflict with gas prices. We will let statistics speak for themselves and say wars creating an impact on prices.
Local taxes, etc
Gas prices aren't the same price around the United States. Each state varies when it comes to gas prices. This is because of the local taxes and locations. You may that even in your area that some gas prices are higher in other areas.
The reason that gas prices vary so much throughout the states is because of local and state taxes. A lower income area is going to have cheaper gas prices because of taxes compared to a higher income taxed area.
There are other factors that determine gas prices such as the stock and petroleum market. When fear is involved, it can affect the gas prices greatly. Besides these factors, there are many others that can influence prices such as damage done to oil barracks, refineries, etc. Gas prices will be no different than an item in a grocery store like I mentioned above, it basically comes down to the supply and demand of gasoline.
When the demand is high, which it always is when it comes to gas, the price is going to be higher. If you don't want to pay the higher gas prices, there are many alternatives on how you can save on gasoline.
