Religious Discrimination, 43Things, Christian Misinterpretation

After 2000 years of history, I find it fascinating that those that have claimed oppression and suppression for their religious rights have become the aggressors and suppressors of religious freedom.  Last week 43Things, the site that participants list life goals, and work towards cheering others with goals, and nurturing a supportive environment for reaching those goals; decided to suspend my account.  Since I posted goals that dealt with my personal spiritual belief system, and I often made reference to my art that usually aligns with my spirituality, I can only infer that I was suspended from 43Things because of my spirituality.

43Things Goals with constraints

Once again I am let down by what seems to be a good application, and a supportive group of people with a common cause. I am hurt because I actually worked hard to utilize 43Things as a means to be supportive of my fellow persons, and cheer their goals, and utilize it as my own catalyst to remind me of my own goals. How can listing your goals and cheering others is a bad thing? The answer is simply when "absolute power corrupts absolutely" (quote by Lord Action,) as done by Christians in the majority.

So here begins my rant! I am sick and tired of how Christians try to convince everyone to believe how they are a minority. How the Christians are suppressed, discriminated against, and ostracized for their beliefs. Here is the truth, in most places in the world Christians are the majority. The Christians tend to control politics, religious indoctrination, and even education in these places. Why do Christians need to perpetuate a lie that they are a minority? It is simply because they want to commit to a ruse that is designed to deceive people.

Rather than write a complete book on this subject I will try to end this blog with three simple lessons that I ask the reader to consider. There is no wrong or right, there is only the quest of enlightenment so that you may become aware of your personal truth. A little about myself, only for some accreditation I spent 20 years in the church 10 as a Baptist, and 10 in the Assembly of God church, I attended Evangel College (a bible college), and I attended Teen Challenge and graduated New Challenge Ministries. I actually have read the bible and have studied scripture in depth.

Only Christians have goals

First, to those radical Christians, who want so desperately to live in the past during a time of Roman suppression, you are no longer in the minority. Christians have not been in the minority in half of the Middle East and Europe for 1500 years. For 400 years you have had control of the western hemisphere. And in the last 100 years you have managed to gain control in most of Asia, Africa and the South Pacific. And those that could not be controlled were committed to war and genocide, and if anything is anti-Christian it is those two horrors. Stop perpetuating the lie that Christian's are the minority! When John wrote revelations it was in response to his being exiled by Rome, and much in the same manner as Jonah did in the Old Testament, he pouted and "revealed" how God was going destroy them. It is simply a testament of his envisioning then end of Rome, much like Dante's Inferno became the handbook for what hell was supposed to be like. Funny thing is Dante wrote the book in response to Christian hypocrisy and was a social commentary, but since it was graphic in detail the Christians ran with it as some proposed definition of Hell because it had excellent fear based content. But here is lesson number one, since Christians are the majority, and Revelations and other prophecies point that many will fall and only a few will be chosen, could it be because the Church is corrupt and full of false teachings?

Let me be very clear, I believe Christianity to be one of many valid spiritual paths, but that would be the "old time" Christianity as taught by Mary, Peter, and Jesus himself, not this horrid abomination that is taught today. Christ taught that there was two laws that we should follow in Matthew 22:37-40. First was to love the Lord YOUR God with all your heart, soul, and mind. Fascinating thing is he said "YOUR God" not God Yahweh, or God Jehovah, or even just God, he said YOUR god. The message of Christ was to bring in an era of spirituality that was available to all, not just the rich and powerful. The message is about spirituality, not religion. It is about learning your way, about your enlightenment, and about BEING on a spiritual path, not the path itself. The 2nd Law is to Love Your Neighbor. Now based on my statements I have opened myself for attack from those that have cornered the power market in the Christian church, only because it threatens to bring truth back to the teaching rather than the control they now have.

Truth is truth

I ask for those that see the truth as I have detailed it for any support they have to offer, Christian aggression is a very negative force that is hard to defend on a spiritual level. That is why corruption and false teaching has won over the last two thousand years.

And the final lesson for those that support aggression and war as part of Christianity, please read the bible very carefully and stop defending those acts of violence. If there were anything that is Anti-Christ it would be teaching or validating violence on any level. Christ NEVER committed an act of violence on any person. Sure he got angered at the temple and turned some tables over, but that never harmed a single person, in fact he healed and feed them. For every person that validates any level of violence, war, or any acts of harm do not even begin to understand the lessons that Christ taught. Matthew 22:39 teaches to love you neighbor as yourself. Again read the verse specifically, he said NEIGHBOR, not fellow worshipper, brother, or republican, he said NEIGHBOR! That means your fellow person, and guess what we are all neighbors on this planet. Christ also told Peter to lay his sword down in the Garden at the time of his arrest. Peter loved Christ so much he drew a sword and cut off a soldiers ear trying to defend Christ. The awesome part is Christ taught us that violence is not the way, he told Peter "those that live by the sword, shall die by the sword"! I mean come on people, read what is says, not what you are told by power whores.

You have been warned about 43things

Ok that is all of my rant for now. My point is if you have any other belief other than mainstream Christianity, you may want to think twice about posting to 43Things. And besides it seems that since Amazon.com bought into 43Things, they are using that information to sell you more crap, another abuse of power. 43Things encourages you to list personal information under the guise of self-actualization only to sell that info to Amazon.

THINGS FALL APART - Scene 42

The dramatization of the epic contribution of Professor Chinua Achebe's book, "Things Fall Apart". The book, transcribed to more than 300 languages worldwide is renowned for its contribution towards the development of African History as till date, it remains a point of reference far beyond post secondary education in Africa and beyond. It is thought that the account, as portrayed in the book, depicts customs and tradition of the Igbo tribe of Nigeria, and drawn from events as they happened in Ogidi, the Home town of much admired CHINUALUMOGU ACHEBE.
