Tremont is an historic neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio. Tremont is known for the many historic churches in the neighborhood and it is the host of the Hellenic Heritage Festival at The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.

Tremont is also well known for the fabulous selection of restaurants to choose from in the neighborhood. The annual Taste of Tremont event showcases the best of Tremont's food, art, and entertainment.

Did you know that A Christmas Story was filmed here? Tremont is the home of the A Christmas Story House and Museum.

Finally, on the second Friday of each month, the neighborhood hosts the Tremont Art Hop (Tremont Art Walk), showcasing the many arty galleries and craft vendors in the area.

Taste of Tremont

The 7th Annual Taste of Tremont street festival will be located on Professor Avenue on Sunday July 19, 2009. Taste of Tremont showcases the best of Tremont's food, art, and fun. Visit the Restore Tremont Website for more information on this and other Tremont events.

Tremont is known for their fantastic restaurants and famous chefs. We are so fortunate to have this culinary gem in our city.
Fahrenheit
Fahrenheit is one of the trendiest places in Tremont. Chef Rocco Whalen has created an amazing menu featuring the freshest ingredients and an atmosphere worthy of an NYC Hot Spot.
Lolita
Lolita is the Tremont Restaurant owned by the famous Iron Chef, Michael Symon. Lolita is fun, friendly, and casual with an exciting menu and a spectacular wine list.
Parallax Restaurant and Lounge
Parallax is known for their sushi and seafood and the fashionably contemporary atmosphere. Huge menu, but not a great choice for vegetarians.
Tremont Tap House
Fun pub food, a fantastic beer selection, and a super Sunday brunch are all reasons to check out the Tap House. It's a great place for the late night munchies, too.

A Christmas Story House and Museum

A Christmas Story House
A Christmas Story House, the original house included in the film, A Christmas Story, has been restored and is open for public tours, The official A Christmas Story museum is across the street from the house. It features original props, costumes, and memorabilia and rare behind-the-scenes photos from the film.

    my daughter and I spent a wonderful afternoon there last week....did some shopping, browsing and lunch. It was wonderful day and we'll definately go back another time.

    I may have been through it. Very nice lens here. Interesting and informative. I didn't know that about the movie being filmed there. Thanks for this, and I will one day get up there to see the town and museum. I give this 5*****.

Greek Festival in Tremont

Our family is Greek Orthodox, so we really look forward to the Hellenic Festivals at the neighborhood churches. The women bake for weeks to prepare for this wonderful family celebration.
Hellenic Heritage Festival
Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church hosts the Hellenic Heritage Festival on Memorial Day weekend each year. In 2009, the Festival ran from Friday, May 22nd to Monday, May 25th (Memorial Day)
