If you are a visitor or a native to Cleveland, Ohio and you haven't visited Shaker Square, you are truly missing something. Shaker Square is a historic landmark in Cleveland, and well worth the trip.

Shaker Square is full of historic old buildings, beautiful landscaping,and a lot of local history. It is the home to unique local restaurants and shops, and is the center of a local Cleveland antiques and arts district. It the perfect area to spend a day poking around local shops and dining on fabulous local food.

Shaker Square is built in four quadrants. In the northwest quadrant is the newest addition to the local shops, Lake Erie Artists Gallery. The gallery offers classes and workshops, and unique gifts and local art. Right next to Lake Erie Artists Gallery is one of the mainstays of Shaker Square, Balaton Hungarian Restaurant.

Shaker Square is a place to stroll, grab a coffee from Dewey's local coffee shop, and sit on a bench and people watch.

Balaton Restaurant in Cleveland is most famous for it's superb Wiener Schnitzel and a variance of that, the Chicken Schnitzel.
