Discovering Akron, Ohio
Akron, Ohio has been my hometown all my life. I was born and raised here.
Located in Summit County, North-East Ohio around fifty miles south of Cleveland, it can now boast the fact that it is also the hometown of basketball sensation, LeBron James, formerly of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Over the years the city has undergone many changes. Formerly known as the Rubber Capital of the World, due to its indelible link with the rubber industry, it is now known as the City of Invention as it homes The National Inventor's Hall of Fame as well as an interactive museum of invention, referred to as Inventure Place.
As well as its moniker as the City of Invention, Akron also enjoys many notable "firsts", as well as a diverse cultural and historical background.
My hope is to highlight some of this diversity here, as I take you on a tour of Akron, OH.

- Wow! This was wonderful information! Really, a 20 minute commute avg? That would be like running to McDonalds here in Atlanta. I think our avg commute is close to 1.5 hours. Sounds like a dream come true. As I watched the video I realized I may have to make a trip to that area soon and maybe we can visit :) Loved this lens!
