Alertpay
AlertPay is a privately owned and operated online payment business. Their online-payment system provides individuals and companies with the ability to pay and receive payments online, allowing for rapid transfer of funds. Users are able to transfer funds without making public any personal or financial information about themselves, the transaction, or the recipient.
AlertPay is registered as an official corporation in both Canada and the United States, and is in compliance with the various regulations and guidelines of the OSFI (Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions of Canada), FINTRAC (Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada), and FinCEN (Financial Crimes Enforcement Network). AlertPay was created in 2004 and now employs 45 full time staff. They are based out of Montreal, Quebec and as of August 2008, 2.1 million accounts were registered on AlertPay. This massive number comes from their versatility and reliability, they support 22 currencies and support transactions in 206 countries worldwide.
At AlertPay they believe fully in the idea of knowing your customer personally. This ensures a safe and secure program for all of the AlertPay accounts. However, AlertPay respects their clients privacy and stand by their stated Privacy Policy to ensure that each client's identity is known only to them.
Every dollar deposited into an AlertPay account is insured with the FDIC (Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation) as well as the CDIC (Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation) in the United States and Canada respectively and are held with federally regulated and chartered banking institutions.
