Find Your Mission In Life By Helping Others- Volunteer!
My favorite line from "The Blues Brothers" was "We're on a mission from God!"
I've never really thought of it before, but helping out in your community, or the world community, can be a divine calling. But where do you find a cause that you can devote your passion to?
First, check out the BAZILLION fantastic lenses in the Squidoo Non-Profit Category, you're sure to find one there! Or keep reading this lens to find out more about local service in your community. Everyone can make a difference.

- I'm lensrolling this to mine about "Becoming A Search and Rescue Volunteer," which I'm very passionate about. The feeling of saving a life is indescribable. Unfortunately, not all missions have happy endings, but those that do ... well, they're priceless.

- WC1989 There is a lot to be done online also, I have raised holy heck with the town and federal government to protect the eagles and rare birds being chased by helicopter on my home, and never had to leave my yard to endanger a careless multi million dollar organization of killers , who tout themselves as hero status around here, killing anything in the name of mosquito bit prevention!
Causes are all around and many online efforts can help by shedding light or raising public awareness.
My simple new lens caused HUGE ripples from the Federal Levels down , they even visited me!
We can do quite a bit from online, you may even lend me a hand if you like or tell me what you are interested in, I do very intense research, and would be happy to help you locate a passion to volunteer your effort to. Squid0o was a good find!
In under 2 weeks my lens was a page one result in 7 places. Go for it!

- I haven't really volunteered much :( Volunteering usually requires leaving the house to be with strangers and with my overprotective parents it's kind of hard. However I did once go with my school choir to a center for kids with Cerebral Palsy. It was loud and totally unlike our regular concerts, but it was fun, and the kids had fun too. They especially liked when we sang Christmas (and Hanukkah) songs.
