I have created this non-profit organization to help families eliminate debt. Yes, it is going to take a life style change, but not a life long change.
It takes work to get out of debt but it doesn't have to be "life threatening" or cause family problems AND I believe that Bankruptcy is NOT always the option.
Let's look at what you can do:

1. Write down where you are spending your money.
--you don't have to use quick books!
--excel has a spread sheet for personal expenses
--create your own
**How far over your INCOME are you spending?
**What can be eliminated?
~Do you need a credit counselor?

2. Pay your household bills first.
--the credit cards can be canceled if you can't pay your utilities or mortgage

3. Pay the minimums on your credit cards and pay them on TIME! (my mother taught me this)
--you may not want to give them up.....so pay at least that much!

4. Stop eating out.
--we are in a time where we have to take care of our bodied and what we eat.
--stop eating out; it's better for your finances and your health

5. Give up the everyday treats.
--if it's not eating out, it might be shopping
--if you are in need of clothing, purchase from the sale rack
--take time to give yourself a manicure/pedicure

6. Pay your tithes
--if you are Christian, this is first
--God rewards you when you know to give back
~~Stop looking at your finances in the natural; look at it in the spiritual.

Getting your finances in order is going to take longer than over night! You have to know to start somewhere.

We are teacing our children that they need an education to have good income. Nowadays, you need some type of degree to work at McDonalds and with the current recession, the children of tomorrow are goin to need skills to know how to get out of a bad financial situation.

Even as a small business owner/entreprenuer, you will need to start with a good education outside of high school and continue to learn daily to increase your profits. Gaining knowldege keeps your moral up and creativity heightened. Getting an education keeps a child from losing out; education helps them get ahead.

Life goes a farther than our own front doors.

This month starts my busy season. No matter what business I am working on or what needs to be done in and with my family, this is the busy time of year.

In order to make the community aware of my organization and what I am trying to do. I have decided to start a few "in house" fund raisers. Something people can "see".

DINNERS and LUNCHES

I will be cooking and preparing dinners/lunches one Friday in April. THis is a fund raiser churches used to do all the time to increase attendance and help people get to know the Lord.

I am trying to bring a community together to make them aware of what is going on our front porches, not just our back doors.

A family in financial distress can't continue to make it on their own; they need help. Someone has to step it up to help, even if it just starts with me.

If you had .25 to donate to a good cause, would you? If you wanted help and someone had .25 cents wouldn't you want them to give to you?
If there is a need, would you try to fill it?

My point here is helping the world of the rich and the middle class (so far) see that they can fill a need by helping financially distraught families get out of debt, with the change in their pockets.

It does sound like a save your child campaign, but I am tugging at the hearts of those who don't NEED those bag of chips (like me) or a soda pop from the vending machine (like me). I am tugging at the part in your that seeks to help others without getting anything back in return.
Life is about getting through the ups and downs and, lately, it has been more down than up. There houses going into forclosure, people losing their jobs and businesses failing.

I am taking the time to give you a list of options for working with your kids (or your neighbor's kids) during the summer that will help them keep an educational and creative focus.

1. Get them books from an educational store
>>these books will help them keep their minds going everyday during summer
>>work with them in the mornings or in the afternoons.

2. Keep their creative minds flowing
>>kids will want to go outside, play video games, or get on the computer; give them projects to earn that right to go outside, etc
>>>for younger children, have them make a card a day for just anybody or start a scrap book they can add to daily
>>>have the children (of any age) take a digital or one time use camera and take pictures of things in their home that are intriguing or excite them.
3. Ask them what they want to be when they grow up and ask them to write about it.
4. Ask them to watch a news channel that they never have before and give a verbal report on it.
>>if there is cable in the home, world news channels are not hard to find
>>history (which is still news to some) is not hard to find either
5. Take creative field trips
>>to the library to just browse books
>>or join the reading club for kids
>>older kids can join investment clubs
>>go to the museum in a nearby city (not just your own)
>> go for walks in a different neighborhood

The point of these suggestions is to keep the child's mind active in a positive way! A child needs to know that you are attempting to take an role in their lives that is not just about dictating to them.

4, My Kids, is taking long strides to get off the ground.
In these long strides we are preparing for the 2009 Plaitinum Christian Students Ball. This is going to be the first of it's kind to help students prepare for the simple elegance in life and educational excellence.

We are planning a back to school picnic that will be held after school starts.

The purpose is to provide teens with what they didn't have when they started school and present our debt elimination programs to families.

This picnic will be small scale at first but will also help us prepare for the Christian Students Ball to be held in May.

It is time for the community to come together and help our families and our children. We have to stop taking a "woe is me" attitude and see that the grass is just as brown on the other side!

We are looking for any type of donation for this picnic...feel free to share with friends.

When I started this non-profit, my hopes were to help others get out of debt. Then I thought of the teenagers that want to go to college but don't have what it takes to get a scholarship.

God is moving me in another direction. He wants me to help and help all be debt free, but he also wants me, instructs me, to win souls.

If I can win souls by helping them see how they can first be prosperous in the Lord, they will eventually be prosperous in finances, health, etc.

Everything I touch is a ministry; a testimony for others. I know what it is like to be broke and not able to have a scholarship to attend school.

I'm ready to be about my FATHER'S business....

There are many scriptures in the old testament that show how God was giving to HIS children without getting anything in return. (Scripture is shared from Biblegateway.com NIV)

The new testament tells us that we should give in the same way. The concept of 4, My Kids, Inc is geared towards this. I pray that I can help people understand with scripture.
Genesis 13:17

As a Christian I have to be obedient to all the spirit calls me to do. The only way I can help others is if I can give of me and share all that I know! God bless you as you learn giving!

You will rule over many nations but none will rule over you. 7 If there is a poor man among your brothers in any of the towns of the land that the LORD your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward your poor brother. 8 Rather be openhanded and freely lend him whatever he needs.

4, My Kids, is taking the form of ministry and helping others in this biblical concept of Giving.

4, My Kids, Inc is having a luncheon/fundraiser October 18 (in Wisconsin it's sweetest day that day)

We are attempting to raise funds for the 501c3.

We will be having a small program and are offering small buisness owners to purchase ad space in our souvenir book to promote their businesses/sales/etc.
