I subscribe to "All You" Magazine and in the February 19, 2010 issue was this article. Since I love the magazine, it is all about saving time and money and has tons of manufacturer coupons in it every month , freebies and etc, I decided to give Swag bucks a try. I had never heard of Swag bucks before this.

"All You" is a National Magazine and you can purchase it at your local Walmart. This is why I joined Swag bucks. I thought it was wonderful that the author of the article decided to share "Swag bucks" with it's readers and figured it had to be real. Real it is.

So now "I am paying it forward" and sharing the world of Swag bucks with you. In 12 days of using it I have earned $25 in Amazon Gift Cards. Not bad for just searching.

You can earn Swag bucks what we call sb's , for searching, completing Special Offers, recycling old cellphones or video games, sending in videos of you opening a Swag buck prize, submitting polls, and referring friends. Let's look at each separately starting with the easiest to do- searching.

*SEARCHING*

Swag bucks search engine is powered by Google and Ask. You don't have to download anything unless you want to. You can search right from their website once you are signed up. They have an optional toolbar that you can download to your computer that keeps you up to date on your account, it lets you search easier,you also get information on their blog, if their is Swag Codes out there, and gives you quicker access to the Swagstore, Twitter, etc.

You just search like you would normally do. You will NOT get a Swagbuck for every search, generally you will earn 3-5 swag bucks a day just from searching. The key is be natural about it, don't spam the search engine, do genuine searches like you normally would do. Looking up things that interest you. If you don't find a Swag buck within 1/2 hour of searching wait a couple of hours and try again. I usually search first thing in the morning, in the afternoon and night to increase my chances of finding one.

*Completing Offers*

You can earn more Swag bucks for completing offers. They have a total of 3 walls on Swag bucks. You can earn alot if you want to sign up for Netflix, Disney videos, book clubs and such. These are totally optional. But look around for they do have no obligation offers, and even Youtube
videos you can earn a Swagbuck for. You will be credited for them based on their instructions so be sure to read the fine print, some are instant, some take awhile, but you will be credited.

*Shop and Earn*

You can earn Swag bucks just by shopping through National Retailers through their website. You earn $1 swag buck per $5 you spend. There is alot of well known retailers here such as Target, Oriental Trading Company, Best Buy, Petco, Itunes, Ace Hardware, Avon, 1800 Pet Meds, 1-800 Flowers and alot more please see their website for a complete list of shops.

*Recycle Your Cell Phone or Video Games*

Every Friday Swag bucks has "Mega Friday". This is the day they give out alot of Swag bucks and in much larger denominations. This is the day to search and hope to be lucky enough to hit a mega Swagbuck while searching. Join in the fun

Swag bucks pays you the first 100 Swag bucks each referral earns while searching. What I love about Swag bucks is they have Facebook Connect that links your Facebook Account with them. Every time you win a Swag buck it is instantly posted to Facebook's Live Feed and your Wall. It is embedded with your referral link. Just from using Facebook Connect I got my first 4 referrals. I did nothing. I just allowed Swag bucks to post my winnings. They will also do this when you purchase something from their Swag Store. They make it easy to get referrals doing nothing. It gets the word out for you.

So if you have a Facebook account make sure that you do this right from the start and do their Facebook connect for it can help you get referrals. How many Search and Win or Paid To websites do that for you?

They also have alot of promotional banners you can post on your blog, website, etc. They also have a Widget you can add that is a great referral tool which we will discuss more about later that you can add to your Facebook account , websites, and blogs. The Widget also helps you to see if there is Swag Codes

Swag Codes are codes that can be entered into the Swagbucks website for redemption. You never know how much they will be for or when they will come out exactly. They will be a combination of words and/or numbers.

Where to Find Them? TSG- The Swag Guy will post randomly a hint on where to find them, this is what is really important.

Be sure to follow them on facebook, twitter, and their blog. Add the widget to your facebook page and check on there to see if there is any swag codes.There is a button to check for codes on the widget and will display a clue or hint of where the code is.

This is when the fun begins "a scavenger hunt" I mean "Swagbucks hunt" begins. Generally you will only have a certain amount of time to find and claim them. They can be anywhere on the blog, in Special offers, anywhere on their website. They will give you a general idea on where to look for the code. Swagbucks is really fun. People on Swagbucks Facebook Fan page will generally alert you that there is a code but that's it. Don't share codes with anyone. You can be punished and lose your Swagbucks account. Plus don't paste your referral link on their Facebook page either. We are all already members and you only get screamed at by fellow swaggernauts and could lose your account over it.
