- Delightful (and delicious-looking) group of recipes for a 4th of July Cookout! Our family favorite menu for the 4th has evolved into a standard over the years of grilled brats (in buns), macaroni/shrimp salad, and dessert. We've also made 'beer-can-chicken' on many other occasions, though ours is not BBQ'd :). Our family LOVES to Grill. Congrats on your Purple Star - it's 'well-deserved'. Excellent suggestions for a 4th of July Cookout.
