Taking care of your eyes is as important and taking care of your health, eyes are often ignore with a feeling that these will repair themselves once they are shut off for sleep, but this is not the truth. In fact eyes cannot rest, when you sleep eyes are following brain motions and still moving even through your eye lids are closed.

Take care of your eyes by:

Washing with cold water twice a day at least;
After putting long hours in front of the computer or television make sure to apply a bit of ice on and around eyes (nothing more soothing than that)

Give your eyes plent of rest, just the way you rest your body, make sure your eyes get rest too. Just like not going for work for 2 days of the week, decide at lest a single day when you will not work at the computer.
