Chuck E. Cheese Coupons; How to Find the Best Ones

Ranked #64 in Parenting & Kids, #2,099 overall

Which are the best Chuck E Cheese Coupons and which ones work?

OK, so I just got back from 4 HOURS at Chuck E. Cheese, and I can honestly say we had a great time.

We got 200 tokens, plus 1 all-you-can-eat salad bar and 1 drink (it was just me and my son and he was too busy to eat) for $35.20. If you subtract the approx $9 for the food and drink, that means I got 200 tokens for 26.00, which works out to $0.13 a token. That's pretty good, since if you buy them out of the machine at 20 for $5, that is $0.25 per token.

So let's explore all the best coupon options out there. This might work out to be a long page, so I'll tell you right off the bat that one of my best coupons was for 80 tokens for half off (up to $10) and I got that out of the Entertainment Book. That's $0.13 a token :) woohoo. good deal.

(remember the entertainment book goes on sale in the spring!)

1. The Chuck E. Cheese Coupon in the Entertainment Book

entertainment bookOk, if you don't know what the entertainment book is, it's this really good book for most areas in the U.S. that you buy, and it is full of 1000s of dollars worth of coupons for things you do every day (like safeway coupons and mcdonalds coupons and rent a car coupons and many more). It comes out every summer, and usually the books start at $35 and as the year goes on the price may drop. They make great christmas gifts because they really save money - or great gifts to yourself. :)

I buy the Hawaii one as soon as it comes out (for $35) because I review it every year on my website, but I buy the Spokane one (which is close to where I live) in the spring, because the price can drop as low as $10 a book and the coupons are good till November.

Get the book for $10 and the Chuck E. Cheese coupon alone will get you your money back.

I do not know if EVERY book has the Chuck E. coupon in it (click through to the site to check), but mine does (or did in 2010 and 2011) and the coupon details are these:

Enjoy one 80 TOKENS at 50% off the regular price

So, I went to the Spokane Valley Chuck E Cheese, walked in, handed them this coupon, and they gave me 80 tokens for $10. The cashier was totally OK with the coupon and had obviously seen it before.

So, check if there is an entertainment book in your area here

Once you are there, click on

A-Z Index - View All Merchant Coupons

to see if the book for your area has a Chuck E. Cheese Coupon.

... and one more thing, if you want to wait till the price for the book goes down before you buy it, sign up for my email list. I will send you an email every time the price goes down significantly.

2. New Chuck E Club Members

our lootOk, this is how I got my other 120 tokens for only $15 ( again $0.13 per token). I signed up months ago for the Chuck E. Club and got emailed coupons. Luckily, they were still good and so I printed them out. Here's what I got:

Large 1 Topping Pizza, 4 Soft Drinks, and 30 Tokens for $19.99
Large 1 Topping Pizza, 1 medium cheese pizza, 4 Soft Drinks, and 35 Tokens for $29.99
100 tokens for $15.00
175 tokens for $25.00
20 free tokens for using any one of the above

Talk about a great deal. I used the 100 tokens for $15.00 and the 20 bonus tokens. When we go back with daddy we will use the 175 tokens and the first pizza one. That will be dinner and lots of fun for $45.00. good deal.

If you have already used your brand new club member coupons, read the next part carefully to be sure you are getting all the deals you can from the website, because there are still opportunities to get savings.

3. Everyday Chuck E. Cheese Website Savings Opportunities

Ok, so if you have an evening planned at Chuck E Cheese, you can go to the website at any time and print coupons. I just went to the everyday coupons section of the website and see some good deals like

20 bonus tokens added on to a meal
85 tokens for $15 ($0.18 per token)
140 tokens for $25 ($0.18 per token)

also, Try these coupons. They don't seem to expire, they are on the official website, and they are some of the best coupons available ($0.14 per token).

If you are looking for 2012 coupons, these should work for you.

ALSO, I was able to get 30 free tickets per child by playing the online ticket blaster game and printing the coupon reward out. I know it works because I used it. The secret to the game is to have an adult do it and just click as fast as possible in the middle of flying tickets. 30 is the max you can get. Go to Chuck e-games. I don't know if this is a limited time thing or not, but check back every time before you go. Chuck E. Cheese offers new coupons all the time.

Don't forget Rewards Calendars and Grades for FREE tokens

Rewards calendars are here (for things like brushing teeth and being active - lol, not an issue MY son has) and info about the Tokens for Good grades is here. Both require a food purchase.

4. Other website savings

Ok, this gets a sometimes thumbs up, sometimes thumbs down, because sometimes chuck e cheese doesn't accept these. Some of these coupons were not meant to be handed out on the Internet like this but rather gotten in store circulars or newspapers or as part of other promotions, so if you are going to try these coupons, print out a bunch of different ones, that way if the employees are like "we don't take that" you can pull out a differnet one and be like "well will you take this one?"

When I went I had a manila folder full of coupons (but they took all mine) :). The worst they can say is no. I don't think they are going to throw you out of the store or anything.

Ok, so some good places to check are

dealspl chuck e coupons
retailmenot chuck e cheese these just direct you to the website, but directly to the coupons, and some of them weren't obvious from searching, so that's cool.
tech bargains chuck e cheese is another good place to check.

I'm never sure what to think of these coupons because some people say they don't work. I don't have the guts to try them if anyone gives a thumbs down usually.
(if you see the google search images that have coupons, ignore them, they all seem to be expired)

Chuck E. Cheese: Best Place EVER, or Overpriced Not-so-nice

Ok, so I just came back from 5.5 hours AGAIN at Chuck E Cheese and this time we had even MORE fun. My son racked up 1500 tickets, which is equal to about $15 worth of toys and stuff. We spent $55 (for 300 tokens, 2 drinks, 1 salad bar and one individual pizza), so that's $10 an hour worth of wonderful entertainment and dinner. I took my computer and my book, and we came home with toys and candy.

My son is the super-active type, who is always going at full speed if he's awake, and I just can't keep up with him or give him the interaction he needs all the time, so him getting to run around and play with other kids and be stimulated and entertained and happy and safe is just heavenly for me. (my husband says he networks when we go there - lol)

So, I think you can tell what my opinion on Chuck E. is ... AWESOME, AWESOME, and more awesome. But let's hear from you!

p.s. (if you want to know how I got 300 tokens, I used the coupons here (NEVERMIND, they are expired - just check all the other ones I mention) - they are only good till 10/31/10 but minute maid may offer them again. I used the 10 free tokens with pizza purchase coupon, the 200 tokens for $25 coupon, the 80 for $10 coupon, and I had brought in a rewards calendar for teeth brushing from the website which gets 10 tokens with a pizza purchase). Basically I got my tokens for 12 cents apiece. super awesome.

When my kids were young we used to have a blast at Chuck E. Cheese! But the prices have definitely gone up.

Angie says:

I love CHuck E. Cheese's. I hafta say, I have you beat on what you pay for your Chuck E. experience. I have a family of 6. We get a large pizza, a medium pizza, 6 drinks, salad bar, and 420 tokens for $50. I use a few different coupons for food and drinks, plus print off the free token awards, and the 30 free ticket ticket blaster rewards. It's a lot of hunting, clipping, and printing but a cheap, fun time for a family of 6.

smithsam says:

I have tried this all on ezcouponsearch.com by using Promo Codes I am really happy and I am gonna bookmark your website for future use :)

Loved it as a kid but is getting pricey! Appreciate you sharing the coupons.

ClinicallySignificantProductions says:

Great childhood memories can be made there. It's just hard to make kids realize you'd have to spend about $2,500 and 6 hours in Chuck E. Cheese to win enough tickets to win that toy worth $60.00 on the top shelf!

gabina says:

awsome

Overpriced Trap. :(

I won't set foot in that place. Spend tons of money, receive few tickets, junky prizes. Always too many wild kids running around.

RachelDillin says:

I love their games, but I seriously hate their food lol.

Heather426 says:

kids love it, but I don't like it, too noisy.

5. And, the mail

Ok, so if you ever go to Chuck E. Cheese, you need to watch your mailbox. They are always sending out circulars to my house for free tokens and deals. Watch the mail and the newspaper. Just keep your eyes open and put them away so that when you are ready to go, you have them.

and just for fun ...

I am 37 years old and I went to Chuck E. Cheese when I was a kid. I remember it as a dark, smoky place (my mom smoked) that was a little scary because of the mechanical singing and dancing characters. I think they were the main attraction when I was a kid. Chuck E sure has changed a lot - I love the place now. Light, safe, lots to do, no scary mechanical band. :) Kudos to the people behind it.

and kudos to the spokane valley team. Every employee is always happy and professional and fun to deal with. thanks!

We don't have Chuck E Cheese here, but in general I don't like wasting my money, so always look for coupons!

My middle two love the place, but my older girls abhor it now. I was able to get my twelve year old to have some fun with me by playing Deal or No Deal. The highlight of the trip for us was selecting the correct case. And we then gave the tickets to the younger two, so they could get a couple tootsie rolls. Oh well, it was fun. Great lens.
