These coffee drink recipes are great for those times when you have others over for entertainment and social gatherings, or for those times that you want to sit back, relax, and appreciate being alone. These spiked coffee drinks are typically very simple, often simply adding a certain liqueur to the hot coffee. Some coffee drinks are exceptionally well suited for eating desserts, while other coffee drinks make the perfect augmentation with certain foods. Most coffee drinks are served with regular coffee and topped with whipped cream. Try your hand at making one of these coffee drinks, whether you are entertaining or just want to spend some special time alone.

Ingredients

12 ounces fresh brewed coffee - preferably chocolate mint - or swiss chocolate
2 ounces 151 Rum (or to taste)
1 ounce Haagen-Dazs Liqueur or Baileys Irish Cream
Whipped cream
2 tablespoons chocolate syrup

Directions

In a large mug, put the 2+ oz of 151 rum in the bottom (have a little to taste test if you wish!). Pour the hot coffee into the mug 3/4 of the way up. Add the Haagen-Dazs or Bailey's Irish Cream. Stir. Top with the whipped cream and drizzle with chocolate syrup.

Ingredients

1 cup strong brewed coffee
1 1/2 ounces Irish whisky
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon whipped cream

Directions

Mix coffee, sugar, and whiskey in a large mug or cup. Top with the whipped cream.

Kahlua Irish Coffee

Ingredients

2 ounces Kahlua or favorite coffee liqueur
2 ounces Irish Whiskey
4 cups freshly brewed hot coffee
Whipped cream

Directions

Pour 1/2 ounce coffee liqueur in each cup. Add 1/2 ounce Irish Whiskey to each cup. Pour in steaming freshly-brewed hot coffee and stir. Gently spoon two heaping tablespoonful of whipped cream on top of each. Serve HOT.

Bushmills Irish Coffee

Ingredients

1 1/2 ounces Bushmills Irish Whiskey
Strong freshly brewed coffee
1 teaspoon brown sugar (optional)
Whipped cream
1 dash crème de menthe (green)

Directions

Pour whiskey into Irish coffee cup and fill to 1/2 inch from top with coffee. Add sugar if wanted and mix. Top with whipped cream and drizzle crème de menthe on top.
OPTIONAL - May rim cup with sugar.
