If you follow these methods, you will definitely see a speed improvement of your computer. Even better though, most of these methods can be completed even with little to none computer knowledge whatsoever! Follow the 5 methods below, and you will definitely see massive results of your computer performing faster!
1) Uninstalling Unused Programs
Almost everyone who owns a computer will have programs on their computer which they simply won't every use again. The worst thing of all, is that these programs could be clogging up your computer causing it to perform slowly! Having programs installed on your computer which you won't ever use again could be making your computer perform slowly with no benefit whatsoever due to the fact you do not use it!To complete this step to making your computer faster, you should goto your computer control panel, and uninstall any and every program you feel you won't use again. Remember, even if you do need to use the program again for some reason, you can always just re-install it!
2) Disable Automatic Start Up Programs
When you first turn on your computer, and load up the desktop, you may encounter programs starting without you even telling them to. If you truthfully actually use these programs every single time you start up your computer, then that's fine. However, if most of the time when these programs start up and you click the X (close), then you should seriously reconsider whether you actually need these programs to start up automatically! If you do have programs starting up automatically when you don't even use them most of the time, then you should look at the settings of the program. Most of the time, they will be under "Tools" or "Options". From there you will usually be able to check/uncheck a box to tell the program not to load up on start up.
3) Use CCleaner Software
CCleaner is a open-source, free to use program which does a great job at cleaning up your computer. After using this software, you will almost certainly see a speed improvement. What CCleaner does is deleted all temporary and system files which your computer does no longer need. After these files are deleted by the software, your computer will have more free space, and it will ultimately be performing faster. To get CCleaner, you will need to goto the CCleaner website, and then download the software. After you have downloaded and installed the software, run it, and once it is complete, you will see a difference.
4) Delete Unused Files
More often than not, you will have files on your computer that even you know you will never ever use again. Although this may sound fine, and you may believe this causes no harm, you are wrong. A computer needs as much disk space as possible to process commands, and if it has a limited amount of space to work with, you may see downfalls in your computers performance. You should always delete files in your documents which you will never use again.Deleting unused files is self explanatory - Just goto your documents, and search around your folders and delete all files which you think you will no longer use. Completing this step may not always result in speed improvements, but depending on your situation, it can help massively!
5) Use Turbo Your PC Software
Turbo Your PC is a piece of software which runs on your computer, and does all of the work for you! However, I believe it's worth every cent, and its worth a try for anyone who really does want to make their computer faster.
Conclusion
These methods will almost certainly make your computer faster, and should show massive results. These methods have been proven to work, and are the main causers of a computer running slowly. However, if your computer is still running slow, then the chances are that your computer simply isn't up to the job for everything you want ti to do, and that it may be time to upgrade to a more powerful computer.
