Natural Weight Loss - Part 1
Chewing your food properly is a really simple way to lose weight and feel much healthier.
It doesn't cost anything, you can practise it several times a day and before you know it you will be a professional muncher who possesses a much happier digestive system.
Chewing Your Way To Better Health
Just add discipline
Even if what you are eating right now is far from perfect. Don't worry.
You can still benefit hugely from a small shift in how you are eating.
Failing to take your time and chew your food properly usually means you will swallow much larger pieces of food than your body can handle. Your body will struggle to digest and get the full benefit from what you eat. You will also end up consuming more food than you really need since your brain won't have enough time to know it is satisfied.
Not chewing enough also causes: Low energy, indigestion, discomfort, excessive eating and weight gain.
Fast eating with minimal chewing means your food will take far longer to be digested, sapping your energy. Since you have eaten too quickly the only way you feel satisfied is when you are stuffed.
With a little extra time and effort in the chewing department, you will start to let food to make you fitter rather than fatter.
Remember though, this does not mean you can eat junk 24/7 and still make amazing progress through chewing alone, but it will make a massive difference with zero need for a diet overhaul right now.
So how do we stop eating too much, too quick and start tapping into far more energy, better digestion and achieve a healthier weight.
First, we slow things right down.
PRACTISE TIME
Please go and grab something to eat right now, something small like an apple. Take a bite and chew it 20 times or more on each side of your mouth until the food is a paste. Get your tongue involved, moving the food around your mouth and coating it completely in loads of saliva.
Resist the urge to scoop the food to the back of your mouth and swallow it too soon before it is properly broken down.
Done
You have just taken the time and effort to break your food down much more than you normally do and the digestion process has already begun thanks to increased saliva involved.
Repeat that with every mouthful, every time you eat and you will also be giving your brain enough time to signal when it is satisfied rather than stopping when your are completely full.
In the NATURAL and EASY stakes, chewing is right at the top of the pile.
5 GREAT REASONS TO GET CHEWING
1. Increased energy.
2. Improved digestion.
3. Full nutritional value.
4. More pleasure from your food.
5. Reduces the total amount you eat, making weight loss much easier.

Where does water fit in?
I tested not drinking with food for months after reading somewhere that drinking water with food diluted the digestive juices and slowed down the whole process. It made sense to me so I gave it a proper go. Sadly the real world result was the complete opposite. I would get indigestion and major discomfort and everything was taking much longer than normal.
Its been a few months now since making the switch back and I now aim to have at least a glass of water with every meal. By taking regular sips alongside proper chewing you will be giving your body a much easier job in the digestion department.

- The more calories you consume, especially from food sources, and less energy spent through work will definitely lead to major weight problems. Eating is not bad as long as you consume only the right amount of food and energy needed to complete everyday tasks. If you think you are starting to weigh beyond the ideal, don't wait for more serious illness related to weight problems to happen. Act now and change your life for better.
