50 inch Plasma HDTV reviews

Before we dive into our listing of 50 inch Plasma HDTVs, let us deal with a couple items that might be on your mind.

First, 1080 or 720? Well, most people will tell you that on TV's under 50 inches, don't worry about it. Go with 720 and save the $$$. But what about 50 inch TVs? Well, this is going to be up to you. 9 out of 10 people wont be able to tell the difference between the two, but at 50 inches, you're on the cusp. I say, if you have the money, go with 1080. If money is tight and you still want to get in 50 inches, you'll be ok 720. However, if you go above 50 inches, you should seriously consider 1080.

Second, Plasma or LCD? My answer is Plasma. The odds of you getting burn-in or burn-out are pretty slim... and when it comes to picture quality, plasma can NOT be beat. If you want the best, go plasma. The really cool thing, Plasma is usually less expensive than its LCD counterpart. So, go for it.
