Bob - a short curly hairstyle
Bouffant - a woman's hair style in which the hair is teased to give an overall puffed-out appearance and often combed to frame the face.
B 52 - The beehive is a woman's hairstyle that resembles a beehive. It is also known as the B-52, for its similarity to the bulbous nose of the B-52 Stratofortress bomber
DA (Duck Butt) - greased hair piled high on top and swept back at the sides to form a ridge or seam at the back
Flat Top - A flattop is a type of very short hairstyle similar to the crew cut, with the exception that the hair on the top of the head is deliberately styled to stand up.
Flip - a flip hairdo was hip. Shoulder-length hair was backcombed slightly at the top and then curled out at the ends.
Fringe - a border of hair that is cut short and hangs across the forehead
Jelly Roll - hair is combed up and forward on the sides, to roll it together at the top of the head. This left a single large curl in the middle of the forehead
Marcel - a hairdo characterized by deep regular waves that are made by a heated curling iron
Pompadour - a hair style in which the front hair is swept up from the forehead
Rat - a pad (usually made of hair) worn as part of a woman's coiffure. It's used under a section of teased hair to give height to the hair do.
