Fine Vegetarian Cooking in WI
The Cheese Factory Restaurant is a vegetarian restaurant and a truly wonderful place to eat and have a great time. It is a family friendly breakfast and dining restaurant in Lake Delton for people of all ages. Whatever you order, you will enjoy an incredible meal in happy company with your friends or family.
All meals are vegetarian with an artful, playful creative touch, revealing the hands of a five star cook. Some meals are made with meat substitutes that you will hardly recognize as substitutes. Great selection of desserts, no smoking, and no alcohol. In the restaurant you also can purchase a beautiful cookbook for vegetarian cooking as well as a special hardcover edition of A Course In Miracles.
The menu offers a great variety of meals from around the world that are cooked and decorated with love and joy by some great folks. Whenever I eat there, I deeply enjoy the flavor and quality of the food, as well as a great and high spirited atmosphere among nice people.

Why Call a Vegetarian Restaurant "Cheese Factory"?
For many years before it became the "Cheese Factory Restaurant" it was a real cheese factory.
For some folks looking for lots of cheese or even locally produced cheese, the name "Cheese Factory Restaurant" doesn't quite fit, especially for a vegetarian cuisine. The story says it formerly was a cheese factory. During the Second World War, according to old locals, casein was produced there, which is a milk by-product used in plastics. When the factory was converted into a restaurant in 1992, it was decided to retain the old unique style and material. The character of the building, including pine walls on the inside, sand stone walls on the outside, along with beautiful gardens and flowers contributes to a great dining experience.However, there are dishes with cheese, like pizza, baked potato, grilled cheese sandwich or vegie burger with cheese, and you can always order extra cheese. You can choose between Romano, Mozzarella, Cheddar, Swiss, Jack or even Gorgonzola cheese which is used for the "Bleu Cheese Lover's Quesadilla".

Locate the Cheese Factory Restaurant...
It is easy to find, free parking space is provided.
Google does not seem to get it. The location on the map is not quite right. The Cheese Factory is located right at where East Adams Str goes off from Wisconsin Dells Parkway. When you come from the freeway 90/94, right after the Cheese Factory you will see the Dell Creek Motel. On the other side of Wisconsin Dells Parkway there is Lake Delton Clinic. That should help. Or follow this link to Mapquest, and you will see the correct location. They have it. Happy visit.
