Get fit with Running, Circuit Training and Zumba!
This lense introduces three ways that I like to keep fit: running, circuit training and Zumba. These are three very different disciplines that almost anyone can try out without spending a fortune on joining a gym and buying fitness equipment.
The New Year is traditionally a time when new memberships to gyms and fitness classes rocket! It's all the New Year resolution stuff going on... read this lense and I hope your New Year resolution to get fit makes it past February...

Run your way to great fitness.
Make running a habit and it'll pay you back in spades!
Join your local running club, I know that sounds a bit scary but trust me, you'll find a group of people just like you, all just starting out in running. Sure, there'll be a core group of utterly mental fast pace runners too, but they'll do their own thing and you can let them while you find your pace amongst the normal human beings there.

Circuit Training to improve fitness and stamina.
Circuit training is low impact, high value exercise.
I've got to tell you that I thought I might die at the first class I attended. I just couldn't get my head round how fit all these people were and how unfit I was. Within 3 months I was holding my own and really enjoying myself and I'd met a load of like minded folks who were just like me and wanted to keep themselves in shape.
Circuit training is simple enough to understand, a number of exercise stations arranged in a circuit and you move from station to station, maybe running in between maybe not. It's a great way to get a really balanced workout without high impact activities, and you can work just as hard as you want to.
If you want to get fit fast and safely then circuit training is the way to go. Again you only need a moderate amount of low cost kit, shorts, shirts, trainers.
Zumba Fitness
Ditch the workout join the Zumba party!
Now to be honest, it's not my kind of thing personally, I'm happy to do a bit of Salsa, and I don't mind aerobics but Zumba is a bit of a stretch... and I reckcon I'd be the only bloke there.
However I've seen it in action and the people just love it! As far as they're concerned they're just doing a really fun dance class. The exercise happens totally by accident!
Zumba is beginning to make it's way into the UK with more and more instructors getting trained every week. My personal favourite instructor is a Bromsgrove local Nicola Carless who has been overwhelmed by the success of her Zumba classes since she started them just a few months ago. Here's a link you can check out for Nicki's Zumba Classes in Bromsgrove. It's definitely a great way to have fun and get fit too.

Please use this module to give me feedback on this lense, I'm looking for structured feedback though. If you think it's crap, but can't say why, then please don't bother. If you think it can be better, then tell me what, and tell me how.
You can be sure I'll always appreciate it.

- I don't think you can improve it much. I have never heard of Zumba Fitness. But it sounds like fun. I will have to get my wife to try it out with me. Thanks for this lens.
