Regadless of age, sex, race , or religion, Music brings out the best in all of us! We connect to others through rhythm and melody! Now granted we all may like different types of music, but one thing is for certain, music speaks to our inner spirit and stirs our souls! There's music for running, walking, jogging, dancing, relaxing, meditating, cleaning house, doing laundry, sharing with friends and family, driving to work, driving home after work, riding your bike, listening to it while you're at work, family get togethers and reunions, having birthday parties, holiday parties, any type of party, weddings, funerals, travel, surfing the internet, getting ready for work, getting ready to go out, club hopping, church music, I bet most of us listen to music while we sleep! If you can name it there's music for it! Music is a universal language, just like mathmatics, it is a means of Communication. I think TLC said it best in their Interlude-Communicate on their album 'Fanmail'..."Communication is the key to life...Communication is the key to love...Communication is the key to us...There's over a thousand ways to communicate in our world today..and it's a shame that we don't connect..so if you also feel the need for us to come together...will you communicate with me?"

Part of the '90s Seattle grunge triumvirate completed by Nirvana and Soundgarden, Pearl Jam debuted with Ten, their most accessible, least self-conscious album. Over time, PJ's rep as a politically correct band just a little too above it all to prostitute its music on MTV has nearly superseded the music. But before that, they were a simply an in-your-face, in-your-head, loud, melodic rock band. And lead singer Eddie Vedder was known for his possessed stage presence and a primal growl that sounde...0 points

"Artistic freedom made this record possible," says Jon Bon Jovi. "Musical freedom to explore--and emotional freedom to express what was in our hearts." The result of that freedom is Lost Highway, an album Jon describes as "a Bon Jovi record influenced by Nashville." Bon Jovi explains. "Nashville is all about songs and songwriters. If you're someone like me who loves songs and hanging out with songwriters, Nashville is the place. I thrive on that feeling and I'm inspired by that creative ambience...0 points

For those music buyers who have enjoyed Barry White's music since the early 1970s but may not be devoted enough for the three-CD box set Just for You, this 20-track compilation brings together all of White's major chart hits between 1973 and 1979, along with a couple of entries from his Love Unlimited Orchestra. White's distinctive vocal style--a deep, resonant baritone-bass that oozes sex appeal--was the icing on the cake for those hits; superlative string arrangements (courtesy of the late Gen...0 points

Any lingering doubts as to the depth of Eminem's skills or his potential for raw yet compelling honesty are dispelled on The Eminem Show's first track. Armed with a quicksilver flow and a thundering rhythm track (the record was exec produced by longtime mentor and partner Dr. Dre), "White America" finds Eminem ferociously mauling the hand that feeds him, lambasting his critics, the industry, and the racism that, in many ways, helped make Marshall Mathers more than just another rapper. An indispensable and definitive collection showcasing the passionate genius of the late rapper. The album's nonchronological sequence highlights the contradictory impulses that made Tupac's music so commanding; the 21 well-loved "hits," some slightly reedited for legal reasons, are accompanied by four previously unheard songs. Of the new material, the raw-sounding "God Bless the Dead" has been the subject of the most speculation, owing to its subject matter: a eulogizing of the late Notorious B....0 points

Alicia Keys has more than lived up to the promise of her formidable debut Songs in A Minor, pushing beyond her flirtation with old-school soul and venturing into the modern world, even hiring Timbaland to guide her through the shoals of anthemic hip-hop on the breathless and funkified "Heartburn." Sounding like a hyperthyroid cheerleader, Keys unleashes a quirky sense of humor that no one even suspected she possessed. Her effortless singing on the beat-driven "Karma" is a wonder of sonics on thi...0 points

Seven years after her debut at just 15 years old, Aaliyah assembled a third studio album that was astonishingly mature. Sadly, her death just a little over a month after its release stilled a promising voice in R&B. At 22, when most artists would just be getting started, Aaliyah had already progressed from pop to street to an unconventional retro-modern, risk-taking version of R&B. While lead track "We Need a Resolution" is as mainstream as it gets, there are fewer hits on this album than on pre...0 points

Warren Griffin was due some sort of notoriety ever since he introduced best friend Snoop to half-brother Dre, and thus set the stage for one of the more noteworthy musical collaborations in recent years. But who imagined he had it in him to match the smooth gangster ride of those g-funk all stars with lyrics and tracks of his own? Falling somewhere between Long Beach comrades Domino and Snoop on the pop-R&B-rap continuum, Warren is at his best when his catchy soul melodies get equal time with hi...0 points
