6 Pack Abs Fast | How To Get A Six Pack Abs
We've all seen them in magazines, in commercials, anywhere we go it seems - the models and fitness gurus with the 6-pack abs. There is probably no greater indicator of sex appeal than abs of steel. So how do you get them? You can with a little bit of discipline and a lot of hard work.
Granted, you probably won't receive the chiselled features you see in the ads but you can lose the fat and work the abdominal muscles into shape. All the hard work in the world won't guarantee a 6 pack because it's impossible for some people to achieve it. The muscular structure, just like everything else in the body, is different for everybody. Some people will get a 6-pack, while others have to be happy with a 4-pack or an 8-pack.
The first thing that needs to be done is lower overall body fat. This means 10% or less for men and 14% or less for women. This can be done in two ways, and these two ways should be used together. Exercise is a must and should come in the way of cardiovascular exercise. These are the exercises that get your heart pumping and more than likely, your body sweating. They are often high intensity and include things like riding the stationary bike, running, or spending some time on the elliptical machine.
This exercise should be used in combination with resistance training. This is using either free weights or weight machines to build and define muscles. This will lower the body fat and make those abs more noticeable.
To help get you started on the road to lowering your caloric intake, here are some tips:
- Eat about 15% - 20% below your current calorie level
- Eat 5-6 small meals instead of 2-3 large ones
- Include some high quality protein with every meal
- Choose natural, complex carbohydrates such as whole grains, vegetables and brown rice
- Avoid simple carbohydrates such as white sugar and white flour

Actually I disagree about using situps to build your six pack. You shouldn't! They can damage your back. You should NEVER do them with straight legs. they should be slow and controlled. Never put your hands behind your neck - on your temples will do.
But to be honest, if you have the strength to do 20 situps at a rate of 3-1-1 then start doing other exercises that work large muscle groups. Thin tummy vacuums are the best for creating immediate effects.
But if its a six pack you are after, then you have got to diet, there is no other way. Keep training all the other body parts and the six pack will follow. Check out my lenses for some more detailed info on the subject.

Sit ups: Please note that sit-ups can be a strenuous activity on the lower back. Understanding how to get a six pack and not damage yourself in the process is critical. Do not strain yourself; build up this type of exercise slowly. Twisting during this exercise (left elbow to right knee) is NOT effective and put the lower back under tremendous stress. If you feel even the slightest twinge, then stop. In order to strengthen your abs, care and technique are necessary. Effective sit-ups need to pull the torso towards the knees from a lying position only using the abdominal group of muscles. If you have your legs straight on the floor then more powerful muscles in the legs will do most of the work. To counteract this you should bend your knees while sitting up and so make the abdominal muscles feel the burn. If you gather a momentum you will not be working the muscles effectively. Only by slowly raising and lowering will you achieve the best results.

Truthfully I do 200 situps a day and by the third day I was seeing better abs.
Then again, I already had some abs.. but I really toned in about 3 days.
Seriously, 200 a day. Try to do them within an hour period. You'll be sore the second day, but by the third, you'll see tonage, and after a week, tada.
Key is different types of situps as well. I do 150 straight situps, then 20 to the left, 20 to the right, and then 10 on my back for the full abs.
If you don't want it fast, then you have more time to develop. Do backups, hold planks for 2 mins as a time, toe touches, things like that.
